The ALBS is a 12~24 kV air-pnuematic load-breakswitch with a nominal current rating of 630A. It is acompactly designed system which is compatiblewith both LCA-A panels and IV2000 panels. Thearc-quenching system of the ALBS consists of apneumatic piston within the moving contacts whichdischarges a shot of air at the arcing plasma duringthe opening action, giving it a breaking capacity of1500A at 12kV. The ALBS is available as a lineswitch or a fuse-switch with fuse-holders for HRCfuses of up to 100A, and an operating mechanismwith tripping capability. Motorised operation isavailable for the ALBS.
