COMPANY PROFILE Lighting World Pty Ltd. opened its doors in August 2011. We are a locally grown company that has aimed at creating a business that can offer a wide range of light fittings, light bulbs and lighting accessories, all under one roof. Our 1,000 square meter showroom & warehouse was designed and built in order to display over 1000 lighting products we have on display today. Lighting World is proud to be able to offer the largest range of lighting products to the wholesale & retail market in Zimbabwe. Careful selection has allowed us to create a substantial lighting portfolio of innovative functionality and style. Our range of product includes indoor lighting, outdoor lighting, commercial lighting, solar lighting, as well as a complete range of light bulbs. We also stock a wide range of switches, sockets, MCB’s and associate electrical products. Our suppliers have been carefully selected in order to bring our customers an exceptional choice at competitive prices. Our range crosses from basic functional lights through to the latest cutting edge designs. Our customers no longer have to spend hours on sourcing and the logistics involved in importing their own light fittings. Lighting World holds a substantial amount of stock, which allows us to be able to service our clients without delay. Lighting World acts as the distributor for several outstanding manufacturers from Europe and the Far East. All imports are subject to stringent quality checks & meet international standards. We are proud to be the distributor of Eglo, products in Zimbabwe. Eglo, an Austrian company with 50 branches across the globe and produces 23 million light fittings a year. In-house designers produce 700 new light fittings a year taking into account new trends, environmental compatibility and quality of material making Eglo into the quality product we see today. Eglo fittings adhere to ISO 9000, EN 60598 and RoHS, (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive). RoHS was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment. Lighting World is the sole distributor for LUXRAM in Zimbabwe. Originally established in the UK in 1945. Luxram now supplies under its Brand over 45 countries worldwide. With the need to reduce on power consumption and to promote energy saving Lighting World carries a wide range of energy saving bulbs.
