COMPANY PROFILE

Company Profile January, 2013

1.0 INTRODUCTION

Benchmark Engineers and Consultants Limited (BECL) is a firm with multi-disciplinary team of experts that provide Civil (Geotechnical and Structural), Environmental, Geophysical, Laboratory and Testing services as well as Project Management. BECL was established in response to the need for effective and reliable engineering data and management for Front End Engineering Designs (FEED) and construction. We generate engineering data from soil, water, air and construction materials that will be used for planning, foundation and road designs, environmental management and also provide professional advisory services (Project Management) to our clients which include the oil and gas sector, construction industry, government and individuals.

We are incorporated in Nigeria and 100% owned and managed by experienced Nigerians.

Our team consists of highly motivated, professionally qualified engineers, geophysicists,

environmental scientists and project managers. We combine to provide an extensive pool of

experience based on a comprehensive range of projects undertaken in Nigeria and Africa in

order to meet and exceed our clients’ specific objectives.

2.0 CORPORATE OBJECTIVE

BECL as an emerging consulting firm with an experienced and entrepreneur team is

committed to being the first choice provider of Civil (Structural, Geotechnical, Environmental

Engineering, geophysical, surveys, soil and material laboratory and testing as well as Project

Management services. This will be achieved by:

o Using a professionally structured Independent approach to clients’ need and provide objective advice in order to add value to the chain

o Reviewing and attending to our clients’ needs in an integrated manner and not in isolation o Providing high quality products with cost effective solutions to the benefit of all

stakeholders on a timely basis o Conducting its business with no or minimal negative impact on the people and

well experienced and specialized professionals in executing our work in order to meet with the

clients’ set objectives as well as our corporate objective “Client Satisfaction”. Our

4.1.2 Structural Engineering Our structural engineering team is primarily responsible for designing load (static, quasi-static or dynamic) bearing structures and structural components that are sustainable, safe and economical. The team is involved in the implementation of mechanics to the design of large structures that are fundamental to basic living such as building, bridges, walls, dams and tunnels. We carry out the designs so that the structures will not collapse or behave in undesirable ways while serving their useful functions.

The geo-environmental section is managed by experienced environmentalists who are trained in Social and Environmental Impact Assessment implementation, Assessment of contaminated land and climate change mitigation and adaptation. We are committed to providing high quality environmental audits, training and consulting services.
