Human Resources Policy

We strive to create a healthy workplace based on human dignity, equality

and freedom with non-racial groupings. We subscribe to affirmative

action. We promote unity in diversity. We adhere to all policies related to the

labor law and comply with employment equity practices.

Quality Assurance Policy

Our internal process does ensure that we have a plan in place to inspect work

as and when it gets done. We believe that the quality of work done must be

inspected continuously as work progresses. The quality assurance process is

reviewed time and again to ensure that it keeps up with the required level of

standards expected.

Employment Equity Policy

We have taken a conscious decision to comply with ideals of economic

transformation such as employment equity policy. There is a policy

in place to ensure that we decasualize employment practices in that we

do not discriminate against people on the basis of gender, disability,

color and or creed.

Social Responsibility

As an SMME business, we are conscious of the challenges facing South

Africa as a country and places in which we do our business. And therefore in

response to ideals of Broad Based Economic Empowerment we are prepared

to not only employ people from places in which we do business but further

up skill them to a point where they can start their own economic initiatives.

How we work

Shanduko Projects follow a five pillar approach for effective project execution

One

Project

Management

Integral to the successful

implementation of

construction projects is

the capacity to manage

the overall project.

This function entails

proper and effective

management of

the project, from

site establishment,

appointment and

management of the

professional teams, and

the physical delivery of

the project (execution).

Two

Safety

Ensuring the safety and wellbeing

of our employees is vital to us. With

hazards such as bricks falling from

great heights and poisonous fumes

always present, the construction

environment poses constant potential

health threats. To reduce the chances

of occupational injury, we provide

all our employees with Personal

Protective Equipment (PPE). We make

sure that safety wear is used by all

our employees and through our site

managers, we enforce the adherence

to safety specifications and regulations.

The site manager conducts routine

checks through-out the day to make

sure that employees are always safe

and that there is no risk posed to

their health or safety.

Five

Procurement

In order to support the

objectives of BBBEE

and to meet its relevant

requirements, we ensure

that all of our procurement

requirements are sourced

from BBBEE compliant

providers.

Four

Training

We continuously

empower our workforce

through practical and

on-site training. We also

provide employment

opportunities to people

living in the surrounding

areas of our sites.

Three

Transport & Communication

To maintain effective communication

and transportation we provide our

workforce with reliable transport.

This enables us to increase production

levels and meet set targets.

We make use of a combination

of big trucks and small vans for

transportation of our workers and

materials to and from construction

sites.

We are still aiming to improve

effectiveness and efficiency through

procurement of more machinery and

vehicles.
