Alpha Pumps & Mechanical Services (PMS) Pty. Ltd. company and new name was formed

and incorporated in September 2010 from it’s forefather Alpha Pumps & Plumbing Sup-

plies Pty. Ltd. which dated back to the early 1970’s out of the necessity for a genuine lo-

cally based and operated Gold Coast building services, pump company. Alpha Pumps was the

first of its kind in the Gold Coast area and came about due to the frustrations suffered by

many local customers trying to get any form of reliable, dependable service for the commer-

cial and residential building services industry, other than waiting for a Brisbane based organi-

zation to arrive days later to attend to equipment breakdown or replacement.

In the late 1980’s Alpha Pumps was purchased wholly and solely by one of the current directors

at Alpha PMS who still takes pride in supplying the best quality pumping equipment and mechani-

cal services to our large customer base, at reasonable and competitive rates. There has also been

the introduction of a new director who brings further knowledge and experience to the electrical

and mechanical services division as well with the pumping industry.

Alpha PMS manufacture includes Fire Pumps, Raw Water Booster Sets, Pressure Pumps, Air Condi-

tioning Pumps and virtually any other form of Waste Water and Drainage Pump sets, air handling

and ventilation equipment and all aspects of electrical design and installation for all mechanical ser-

vices requirements to meet the demands of our ever expanding Gold Coast regions.

Alpha PMS employs only a relatively small but highly experienced and skilled staff that carries many

years of vast knowledge and qualified service to the industry. With technology advancements and

constant changes to methods of moving water from one place to another, handling of air and ventila-

tion and electrical design, controlling and solutions , Alpha PMS staff have a commitment to staying

abreast of the pumping and mechanical services industry and are on hand to offer our customers bet-

ter solutions to the simplest of water handling needs up to larger and more problematic situations

that will always present themselves at various times.

Meet The Directors

To our Valued Customers

This introduction is to serve as an insight into my background and to provide a forecast of

where we plan to take Alpha PMS in the future. My name is Daniel Clark, my father Colin

Clark was Alpha Pumps company manager/director. Together we have formed Alpha PMS a

fresh face in the market and are expanding our scope of work.

Fresh out of high school I commenced my electrical apprenticeship with Alpha Pumps and com-

pleted it after 4 years. Shortly after I had finished my apprenticeship I moved to Victoria and

worked as an electrician on construction and maintenance of poultry processing plants, farms and

holding pen6s. After moving back to the Gold Coast I worked with some of the more recognised

electrical contractors in the Gold Coast / Brisbane region. Starting with John Scates Electrical,

where I was a service technician doing service work and small installations. I then moved to a larger

organisation, Richard Flanagan & Co, working on a number of larger projects including Logan City

Hyperdome Shopping Centre Upgrade, Gold Coast Convention Centre Upgrade, Griffith University

Training Hospital and Medical Centre, Westfield’s Helensvale Shopping Centre and Merrimac Waste

Water Treatment Plant where I become Electrical Foreman for that company. After 6 years work-

ing with Richard Flanagan’s, I took opportunity to work with Brisbane based company Eaton Group

Australia. As Project Supervisor in charge of overseeing moderate to large sized construction jobs

and large office fit outs and refurbishments. My main scope of work has been and still is commer-

cial / industrial. After expanding my horizons and furthering my experience in these areas, I soon

realised where I belonged and where I wanted to succeed.

Colin has a vast experience in the electrical contracting industry and exceptional knowledge on all

aspect of pumping equipment. He has been working in the industry for over 40 yrs now and has rep-

utable respect of his peers and competitors in the industry. By extending our provision of mechani-

cal services into air handling units for mechanical ventilation, car park ventilation, extraction sys-

tems and electrical mechanical services together we plan to develop and promote the company ac-

cordingly. Alpha PMS has an enviable reputation and provides a solid launch pad for the opportunity

of further development. The SKY is the limit.

sure your system is working 100%. A written report is pro-

duced at the end of the service

Half Yearly Service Checks

Testing of all Automatic and Manual operation of your sys-

tems, Checking of all mechanical devices, Testing flow

rates of all pumps and Electrically testing on all electric

motors and components with a detailed written report at

the end of the service

Annual Service Checks

tric motors and components and lifting of all submersi-

ble pumps and checking of impellers and oil chambers.

Quality Of Service

The Entire ALC range of equipments is characterized by the unique

level sensing system. This probe system allows the user multiple bene-

fits. These include:

Depth of pit monitoring.

Low cost components in harsh pit environs.

Easily customizable depths.

Quicker and easier installations.

The CP Range

The CP model of controller is the current flagship. This model has many

applications in the management of stormwater, waste water, sewerage

pits, water transfer and supply. The CP Controllers are neat, straight

forward and user friendly.

Level Indicator

The Level Indicator supplies liquid level information for the monitored

reservoir. The Indicator monitors the level of liquid in the reservoir

and displays it on the level indicator. If the level reaches the HIGH or

LOW LEVEL alarm points (set in Indicator) the Indicator activates an

ALARM indicator and an audible siren providing HIGH or LOW level

alarm warnings. There is also provision for remote alarm monitoring uti-

lising an on board volt free contact alarm output.

Rain Main

The Rain Main mains water control valve facilitates automatic change

over from town to tank water once the level of water in the tank has

reached a sufficient level.

The system uses a float device in the tank to signal that tank operation

is possible. Together with a pressure pump non return valve and a

float, this control is all that is needed for fully automated mains/tank

water use.

Water Recycling Control

As controls of this nature are user specific, no specific model has

been manufactured. Rather, ALC custom designs controls for ap-

plications such as this. In May 2006 ALC submitted a tender to

the Gold Coast City Council for supply of a control system that

facilitated the running of a water recycling plant for the wash

bay at their Miami depot. The system incorporates a real

time clock and logging facilities that allow users to down-

load a log of activities to a laptop (with ALC software)

for analysis if they desire.

stock a wide variety of Water Feature Pumps, Water Fountain

Pumps and Fire Fighting Pumps and Low voltage transfer pumps.

We are service agents for Grundfos Pumps, DAB Pumps, Mono

Pumps, Onga Pumps, Davey Pumps, Rainsaver and Zenit Pumps. We

also stock large variety of spare parts for all other pumps.

With a fully accredited workshop and pump technicians you can

also rest assured that your equipment is in good hands.

We also stock a large and extensive range of irrigation supplies

and hose fittings. Our irrigation supplies range from your av-

erage garden watering system right through to commercial wa-
