How To Make aFret Bevel Tool

Start by first cutting the end offof a double sided flat file that isthe length of the tool you wantto make (mine is 7 inches long).

Now cut a piece of 2x4 that is atleast 1 inch longer then your file

Set your table saw up for a 35degree cut

and cut your 2x4 standing uplengthwise

Now run a 90 degree cut downthe length at the bevel at least1/3 to 1/2 of the width of yourfile

Tap your file into the slot you justcut, it should fit snug since yourslot is a little thinner then thewidth of the average file

Grab any material (cloth, suede,even an old t shirt) and cut acouple of pieces to cover the run-ning side of your tool, then gluethem on with any wood or craftglue.

Trim and staple the back and endsand your ready to go!
