• Overarching objective is to Prepare Students for an Interconnected World by developing students’ global competency.
• Proposes intentional structures and processes to enhance and improve students’ global competency through two programs – The Global Scholar Program
– The Global Fellow Program
The QEP is devoted to the creation, implementation, and assessment of the two programs designed to emphasize increasing students’ global knowledge, skill and ability to apply global knowledge, as well as understanding their role as engaged citizens within an interconnected and diverse world.

Names of Search Committee Chairs: • Chair for the College of Business and Entrepreneurship is Dr. Sal Attardo, Dean for the College of Humanities, Social Sciences and Art • Chair for the College of Education and Human Services is Dr. Sharon Johnson, Associate Vice President for Student Access and Success Timetables: • November 2013 - Interviews/on-campus visits with 3-4 search finalists • Spring Semester – Final selections made and individuals in the deans positions as soon as possible

Commerce Plaza Graduation
The Commerce Community Plaza celebrated its first graduating class Saturday, September 21st, with 22 students at the Sam Rayburn Student Center. The Plaza, a collaboration between Commerce ISD, Region 10 ESC, Texas A&M University-Commerce and the Mexican Consulate in Dallas, helps Hispanic adults receive primary, secondary and GED certifications.

Athletics - Fall Success
• Combined overall record of 17-7-1 with football, volleyball and soccer.
• Football beat a ranked opponent for the first time since 2001 and had first road win since 2009.
• Volleyball beat Cameron at Cameron for the first time since 1993.
• Men’s Cross Country team finished 1st at Vanderbilt.
• We have had a total of 11 Lone Star Players of the Week for the season so far. Only school in conference that has had a player of the week every single week. Ten different athletes for the 11 awards.
