Annual Service of Norske Evangelical-Lutherske Kirke Still stately is this little old Norwegian Lutheran Church near the corner of Church Road and Oak Center Road East of Waupun. The annual service will be held on Sunday, August 24 at 2pm. “All interested people are most welcome,” said Keith Wojahn of rural Waupun, who serves as the Chairman of this Norwegian Church Cemetery Association. Rev. JD McCarty, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Waupun, will be the guest minister with message, hymns, scriptures, and possible sharing by those attending. The traditional fellowship time will follow. This church building is 159 years old and was built of stone. The back portion was used as an early community school. The sanctuary was re-decorated last summer.
