Community Based Monitoring in ICDS
Community Based Monitoring It is a Process of Periodic Follow up
of Programme Implementation It checks the coverage and quality of
services provided to the intended beneficiaries
It is driven by the community needs, information and values

process of involvement It strengthens local decision making,
Community capacity and and effective public participation
CBM is useful
• Diagnose the problems at local level
•Formulate appropriate plans and programmes to address the problems
• Allocate the desired resources
• Identify the targeted beneficiaries who have been affected by the problems
• Monitor and assess the impact of the programme

To meet once in a month submit its findings to BBVMS;

To review and evaluate the status of various schemes at block level;
to look after the service delivery of different schemes relating to women and child development;
Convergence of intersectional services in the AWCs and its impacts;
Submit recommendation to the District Level Bal Vikas Mahila Samity.
