Disaster Preparedness Kits
• The greatest advantage YOU can have in the event of a disaster is PREPAREDNESS
• Planning and having a disaster kit built for your home and car are simple life saving items that everyone can accomplish
• Items such as a flashlight, drinking water, non-perishable foods, weather radio, first aid/prescription meds, cell phone chargers, extra batteries, whistle, games, pet supplies etc…
• An easy way to build a kit is to buy it slowly over a two to three week interval and add to it over time and as your situation changes
• You can find resources on how to prepare for emergencies, such as creating a family plan & making an emergency kit at https://www.ready.gov or https://www.beready.af.mil
• For questions or additional information contact the JBER Office of Emergency Management at 552-4624
