DO YOU STILL NOT KNOW
HOW TO RUN COMMON
INDUCTION IN YOUR LC?
LET’S THINK ABOUT IT…
Are you sending
people abroad or are
you sending real
Change Agents?
Are your SNs part of
AIESEC or are they
part of the market?
Are you preparing your
people to go abroad or
are you developing
their potential?
Are you solving
problems with your SNs
or are you running
Common Induction?
ARE YOU IDENTIFIED
WITH ANY OF THESE
STATEMENTS?
TIME HAS COME...
COMMON INDUCTION IS HERE
LET’S START WORKING ON IT
LET’S CLARIFY …
IS THIS COMMON INDUCTION?
It’s to run a Common Recruitment for
Members and SNs
It’s to replace the preparation of SNs with
activities with members and trainees.
It’s to tell SNs what AIESEC is during one
meeting.
It’s when SNs can match themselves
IF YOU AGREE WITH ANY
OF THESE ANSWERS YOU
ARE NOT RUNNING
COMMON INDUCTION YET
COMMON INDUCTION IS…
The time after an individual has
decided to take part in AIESEC
(recruitment) and before they
decide/are allocated to a specific
path in AIESEC and take
responsabilities.
IT’S TO RUN THE FOLLOWING
ACTIVITIES WITH THE INDIVIDUALS
INTERESTED TO JOIN AIESEC
• Introduce them to AIESEC as a platform for
them to discover and develop their potential.
• Challenge their World View and motivate them
to drive positive change in the society.
• Make them to identify their personal goals,
values and plan upon them.
• Introduce them to the Learning Network
WHAT THINGS CAN I
DO IN MY LC TO
START THE COMMON
INDUCTION
PROCESS?
INTRODUCE THEM TO AIESEC
• Explain about AIESEC
Experience, and
emphasize on the
leadership and
learning experiences
that they might get
out of it.
• Let them see the
opportunities and
benefits of being
involved in AIESEC.
• Invite trainees to your LC
gatherings/meetings.
• Prepare Simulations on how
AIESEC works.
• Train them in AIESEC
knowledge (Insight XP, @.net).
• Organize combined chat
session with trainees and
members.
CHALLENGE THEIR WORLD VIEW
• Integrate your SNs to the
trainees and members
community via learning
activities.
• Create a forum in the
community to discuss
about cultural and social
issues, and actively
promoting the forum of
discussion.
• Invite them to different
events organized by other
organizations in your city.
WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
• Organize workshops or round-tables sessions with
organizations to discuss about business reality, social
issues and country challenges. These organizations
can be TN-takers (NGOs and companies).
• Invite them to sessions with returned SNs to share
about their experience, learning points, and new
perceptions of their traineeship.
• Create more learning opportunities for them to get
involved in AIESEC. E.g. Country Nights (trainees
show their countries), Coffee Talks about social
issues, Volunteer Work.
DEFINING VALUES/SETTING GOALS
• Introduce them to the
Mentorship Program.
Assign them a Mentor and
help them to discover
their potential through a
reflection guided process.
• Use Resources available
on Learning Tool and
People Guide
(www.aiesec.org/gpg)
• Develop Coffee Talks to
reflect on personal goals,
values and how they are
aligned to AIESEC.
MORE ACTIVITIES…
• Give a Personal Plan Book to them to
reflect about their learning, to follow
up their goals and revise their dreams.
• Sharing experiences with other people
undergoing personal development.
• Discussions and interaction with ‘role
models’.
JOINING THE LEARNING NETWORK
• Attend AIESEC conferences (agenda should
give opportunity for coffee talks and “Open
Space” Conferences),
• Invite them to develop new activities for
trainees and for them about interesting
topics. eg. coffee talks about Environmental
Issues in your city.
• Let them be part of one of the team in your
LC: Learning Team, Exchange Team, Finance
Team, etc.
YOU CAN PROVIDE MORE…
• Give them trainings and full
access to aiesec.net and
Insight XP.
• Get them involved in the
Learning Network your
country or LC is running.
If you are not running any
Learning Network get them
involved in the learning
activities you created in
the previous stage.
WHY SHOULD I RUN A COMMON
INDUCTION?
• To ensure that all our people (members and
trainees) understand and have access to
AIESEC in the same way.
• To increase the capacity in my LC.
• To encourage SNs to take more responsibility
and an active role over their own preparation.
• To set right expectations about AIESEC and
my traineeship.
• To align individuals goals and values to
AIESEC Values.
