THE WRONG SIDE OF THE STREET.INTERPRETIVE SKETCH OVER

TEXT.

Interpretive sketch over Nietzsche’s Human, All Too Human, I wanted to convey the paradoxical nature of societies’ expectatioN of teenagers. Sesame Street, a childhood staple, has been coopted by expectations. Action is no longer our own, for we are human. All too human.

NEW AGE

ANCIENTS Coulored pencil.

This piece is meant to symbolize

the juxtaposition between truths

and the underlying assumptions

behind them. Aristotle, the father

of logic serves as the symbolic

façade of truth. However, behind

our monochromatic imagery

contrasts the surprising truth behind assumptions, represented

by the blue brain.

DEFIANT.mixed media

collage.

social change comes slowly.

defiance is a process, an

experience, not a dichotomous

decision.

subtly, the eyes in this piece move

from the right to left (top to

bottom), seemingly following

action behind the reader. for, in a

way, our defiance only follows

something perpetually behind our

line of sight, imperceptible.
