REASON TO PRICE HIKE OF ONION

• Unseasonal Rains

• Problem of speculation by traders.

• Due to heavy rains, a lot of the crop is damaged

• Banned Export

PROBLEM FACED BY PUBLIC

• Less use of Onion in all food products

• Less supply in market

• High prices

• Impact once again on food prices and inflation

• Rise in prices of commodities

REMEDIES• Govt should take proper action in purchasing

onion from farmer and selling it to the consumer (Govt to consumer- direct sell)

• Instead of banning export of onion Govt should control the volume to be export.

• Keep observation on warehouses.

• Govt have to work as a intermediary between farmer and end user.

REMEDIES

• The farmer should intimate Govt authorities about approximate quantity of farming the crop in his land.

• Before importing the onion the Govt authorities should have detail idea about available stock of onion in our own country; so that there will no wastage of it.
