HABAKKUK 2:2-3

Then the LORD answered me and said:

1-Write the vision

2-And make it plain on tablets,

3-That he may run who reads it. 4- For the vision is yet for an appointed time;

5-But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.

6-Though it tarries, wait for it

7-Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

GOD‟S DIVINE VISION FOR MANKIND

• Genesis 1:26-

• Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion

over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the

earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

• „ a vision begins as a concern; It is a preferred future; a destination; it demands change and

requires someone to champion the cause. For a vision to become a reality, someone must put his

or her neck on the line‟ ( Andy Stanley,1999)

• Vision is capacity to see/foresight…

MAKE YOUR VISION CLEAR WRITE YOUR VISION STATEMENT

• God had a clear vision for man from the very beginning:

• To make man in his own image- possessing God‟s qualities, characteristics and personality

• For man to have dominion(rulership, authority) over everything on earth

• Is your vision statement self centred or God centred? { remember it is only what is done

for God that will last}

• „We need to distinguish between good ideas and God ideas‟…Examples-Years of trying

various businesses…but it is only Changing Lives that has lasted because it is God

centred..

WRITE THE VISION DOWN

• Jesus‟ vision is summarised in Luke 4:18-

• “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the

poor; he has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and

recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

• As an Ambassador of Christ , your vision has to align with the word of God.

• Jesus wants sons and daughters who will help him fulfil his assignment.

• God is looking for willing,determined,courageous vessels, obedient servants to show off-

Let God see YOU.

BE SURE IT IS A GOD ORDAINED DREAM/VISION NOT JUST A GOOD DREAM- MAKE IT PLAIN

• If it is from God he will back you up all the way

• You will sense a moral obligation- A burden to act fast; a sense of conviction compelling

you into action ( Remember Nehemiah and his determination to reconstruct Jerusalem)

• It will be in line with Jesus‟s vision and God‟s master plan.. At Calvary we lost the right to

self centred plans, we do not pursue personal gain but rather the will of God..

• Provision only comes to God ordained dreams/visions.

JOHN 6:28-29..WHAT MUST WE DO TO WORK THE WORKS OF GOD; BELIEVE ON HIM WHO SENT ME

• Labour to stand on the word of God and work the works of God ( 1 Timothy5.17)

• Without a reference you can never become a reference point.. Your vision has to align

with the word of God..

• Without faith you can not do the works of God; You can not see as God sees..

• Whatever God has called you to do ;Serve the Lord diligently, faithfully, unwaveringly and

leave the results to Him..

• You sow seeds and he will water them ( John 15.5)

• Faith without works is dead ( James 2:14-26)

• John 14.12-16…You will do greater works if you hang on to the vision….

AND MAKE IT PLAIN ON TABLETS,

• Make your vision clear, write it on your tablet, Your dream is unique

• Are you a complaining prophet like Habbakuk ( Go from complaining to abiding, see what

God sees..

• Remember Habbakuk means embrace…embrace your dream/your vision

• You have to see the vision before you can speak to other people to join you. You cannot make

others see what you do not see

• When God speaks to you write it down…write the vision down. Pray that the Holy Spirit

{The Helper} guides you on who to share it with ( Your spiritual parents; mentors; The

destiny helpers; The prayer warriors and the encouragers).

THAT HE MAY RUN WHO READS IT

• God is looking for partners, born of vision. Where there is no vision people perish

• When God speaks to you write it down…write the vision down. Pray that the Holy

Spirit {The Helper} guides you on who to share it with.

• You never become a vision bearer without paying he price. You need to be selfless,

sacrificial, fruitful, productive, devoted, diligent, determined, disciplined and faithful.

• Mathew 11.12- „and from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven

suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force‟.

COMMIT TO YOUR DREAM-BE WISE, BE ALERT

• In every ministry there will be 1)those who watch things happen; 2)those whom things

happen to; 3)those who make things happen [ the shakers] . The latter you will need..

• Remember on your journey ..There are different vessels-2 Timothy 2.20..gold,silver,wood,

earth, some to honour some to dishonour….

• There are 8 kinds of people: seekers (looking for adventure, seeking their own gain);

servers (looking for service/acceptance); settlers ( looking for security not ambitious);

stayers (will endure tough times/correction); schemers (motivated by power and position,

will warn you about others); spectators; students and sons ( are looking for responsibility,

ownership commitment..( John 1.12; Romans 8.14,19)

WHO IS WITH YOU ON THE JOURNEY TO YOUR DREAM?

• There are 8 kinds of people:

• Seekers (looking for adventure, seeking their own gain);

• Servers (looking for service/acceptance);

• Settlers ( looking for security not ambitious);

• Stayers (will endure tough times/correction);

• Schemers (motivated by power and position, will warn you about others);

• Spectators;

• Students;

• Sons ( are looking for responsibility, ownership commitment)

PRAY/IDENTIFY YOUR DESTINY HELPERS ECCLESIASTES 9.11-THE RACE IS NOT FOR THE SWIFT MOBILISE DESTINY HELPERS…IF GOD HAS GIVEN YOU A VISION HE WILL GIVE YOU THE TEAM TO WORK WITH YOU, GOD FEARING LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUAL

FOR THE VISION IS YET FOR AN APPOINTED TIME;

• Don‟t give up on your dream ( Don‟t be ahead nor behind on your timing Lord)

• Understand times and seasons ( Ecclesiastes 3: 1-3;Amos 3:7)

• God looks for those willing, surrendered to partner with him

• God wants you to be on the cutting edge of what He is doing even for the appointed

time ( the future);vision is the seed for growth..it breeds persistence

• Invite the Lord to search your heart ( Psalm 139.23-24)

• God is identifying those who have given up everything to follow him ( Mark 10:29-31)

BE READY TO BE USED; BE IN A POSITION TO BE USED

God has a purpose for you. He wants you to live a life that‟s fruitful. He wants to add

content to your life

Mathew 25:1-4 ( The ten virgins)

Be Ready: Through obedience, submission to God, faith and diligent work. Fight the good

fight of faith, Remember the kingdom of God suffers violence..( Mathew 11.12) ( Romans

14.17)

Be in position…If you miss your train you were not there; As we all do God‟s work lets

keep encouraging each other ( Hebrews 10.25)

BUT AT THE END IT WILL SPEAK, AND IT WILL NOT LIE

• You cannot shine if you do not arise…Arise and shine for your vision will not lie

• If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. Be willing to serve God in the

area he has called you

• When God calls you He equips you,(Hebrews 13.21; Romans 11.36) When you have a dream

to serve God pursue it. Don‟t wait for the resources to come the resources will be added

unto you (Mathew 6.33)

• The start may not be easy but fasten your seat belt of faith; The battle to fulfil the dream and

see the vision through is for the strong ( Strength can only arise when you wait on the Lord

and meditate on his word (Joshua 1.8); Be strong, Be courageous, the vision will not stay silent,

It shall speak.

BECAUSE IT WILL SURELY COME, IT WILL NOT TARRY.

• You will fulfil your dreams

• Psalm 105:19: “Until the time came to fulfil his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph‟s

character”

• Tests and trials accelerate you into fulfilling your dreams.

• Joseph needed the tests in the pit, Potiphar‟s place and prison to push him towards his

dream in Pharaoh's palace.

• Tests are therefore a confirmation of the fact that your dreams shall be fulfilled.

THE TESTING OF EVERY DREAM

• Without his brothers‟ hatred of him, Joseph would never been thrown in a pit.

• Without being thrown into the pit, Joseph would have never been sold as a slave in Egypt.

• Without being sold as a slave, Joseph would have never worked under Potiphar.

• Without working under Potiphar, Joseph would have never been falsely accused by

Potiphar‟s wife.

THE TESTING OF EVERY DREAM

• Without being falsely accused, Joseph would have never gone to prison.

• Without going to prison, Joseph would have never met Pharaoh's cupbearer.

• Without meeting the cupbearer, Joseph would have never gotten an audience with

Pharaoh.

• Without getting an audience in Pharaoh‟s palace, Joseph would have never fulfilled his

dream.

Don‟t let your dream/vision die because of critics and roadblocks (outreach 2017

example; 275 people receive free healthcare)

THOUGH IT TARRIES WAIT FOR IT

• Your response to criticism of your dream should be like what Nehemiah did in

Nehemiah 4:4-5….PRAY ..Remain vision centred; Don't let the critics become the focus

of your attention but rather be determined to complete the task

• Focus on God‟s faithfulness. Don't let criticisms overwhelm you. Remember Though it

tarries wait for it.

• Visions don‟t change they are simply refined; confront issues with grace and maintain

unity among all the team, maintain your moral authority.

DON‟T LOOK BACK; BE POSITIVE; SEE AS GOD SEES.. „BECAUSE IT WILL SURELY COME‟

• See with God‟s lenses.. See people and the places where the sole of your feet steps ( Joshua

1.3) not the way they are but where God wants them to be.

• Quit looking back at old mistakes made …move on, be positive. You are a vessel of the most

high God

• Ephesians 2.10; For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which

God has before ordained that we should walk in them

• 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all

things are become new.
