Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee.

Take my moments and my days; let them flow with ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of thy love.

Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.

Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee.

Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.

Take my intellect, and use every power as thou shalt choose.

Take my will, and make it thine; it shall be no longer mine.

Take my heart, it is thine own; it shall be thy royal throne.

God has given us a priceless treasure!

We have been saved through faith and called to share the gift with others.

People:Nothing will stop us from sharing the good news and abundant life of Jesus Christ!

The whole world is our parish. May our lives, our words, and our actions be a vital witness to the love of God in Christ.

A Covenant Prayer in the Wesleyan Tradition

All: I am no longer my own, but thine.

Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.

Put me to doing, put me to suffering.

Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee,

exalted for thee or brought low for thee.

Let me be full, let me be empty.

Let me have all things,let me have nothing.

I freely and heartily yield all things, to thy pleasure and disposal.

And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine.

So be it.

And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven.

The Spirit sends us forth to serve;

we go in Jesus’ name

to bring glad tidings to the poor,

God’s favor to proclaim.
