Commissioning Intentions 8th October 15
2
Joint working with Islington Council
Our four shared priorities are:
To make sure every child
has the best start in life
To prevent and manage long-term
conditions to extend the length and quality of life, and reduce health
inequalities
To improve mental health and wellbeing
To provide high-quality,
efficient services within the resources
available
To help us provide the best service, we listen carefully to what local people tell us. We meet regularly with them so they can ask questions and tell us what
concerns them about their care. The services we buy reflect their needs.

Planned care: Do you think certain hospital appointments could be better
provided in a community or GP setting?
Would this better support the local community’s needs?
Could you support delivering some of this change or services?
Primary care:
Is primary care meeting the needs of the local community?
Where could there be improvements? E.g. Extended opening hours?
