• NORDC offers four types of volunteer opportunities:

• Athletic Coaches • Rec Center Volunteers • Special Events • Volunteer Groups

Upcoming volunteer opportunities Youth Culminating Event • July 13th | City Park • Volunteers are needed to assist with check-in,

management, and logistics • Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Teen Sports League • July 18th-Septemeber 3rd • Volunteers are needed to assist with score-keeping,

registration, and logistics.

Family Fun Walk • July 30th | Pontchartrain Park • Volunteers are needed to assist with management

and logistics.

Certs for Service • Certs for Service is a program which offers lifeguard

certification in exchange for volunteer hours. • Volunteers will assist with Open Canoeing at Joe W.

When we work together to further health and wellness, conservation and social equity efforts, awesome things happen! This year, the Park and Rec Brigade is here to help you discover your super powers at your local parks and recreation. Captain Community, the Green Guardian and the Fit Twins will guide you on your adventure during Park and Recreation Month.
