INveSTMeNTSpencer Group – provided investment advice on the sale of 88 assets totalling 4.1m sq ft to Hansteen Holdings for £150m.
HOTeLSRavenstone Hotel, Bassenthwaite – sold to a private buyer for an asking price of £1.5m. In 2011 the team sold 17 properties overall with a sale value of £23m.
INveSTMeNTGrosvenor Centre, Macclesfield – freehold shopping centre investment acquired in July 2011 for Eskmuir Properties for £21m.
RATINGCo-op – total cash savings of £8.5m secured in 2011.
LICeNSeD & LeISuReThe Queen of Hearts, Fallowfield, Manchester – sold for £1.5m to Hydes Brewery on behalf of Mitchells & Butler. The deal was just one of 60 licensed premises sold in 2011 with a sale value of over £10m.
DeSTINATION CONSuLTINGChester Zoo, Chester – worked on a £200m development plan. The ‘Natural Vision’ project will see the zoo expand to cover 150 acres with the first £30m phase beginning construction in 2012.
NATIONAL OFFICeSThe Hive – commercial workplace disposal of 78,000 sq ft on behalf of Argent.
ReTAIL Tesco, Wavertree, Liverpool – food store arbitration award on a 23,000 sq ft store.
LOGISTICS & INDuSTRIALAsda, Kingsway, Rochdale – a 44-acre site secured for a 500,000 sq ft chill distribution facility and a 133,500 sq ft onsite recycling centre.
vALuATION TalkTalk Building, Birchwood, Warrington – valuation for loan security of a 55,000 sq ft office building let to TalkTalk on a 15-year lease term.

INveSTMeNTTesco, St Helens – funding on behalf of Langtree for a 140,000 sq ft food store for Tesco and a new stadium for St Helens’ Rugby League Club, c.£50m.
ReSIDeNTIALCheshire West and Chester Council – disposal of their former HQ premises, Backford Hall. Redevelopment opportunity comprises over 100,000 sq ft of accommodation on 24 acres.
LOGISTICS & INDuSTRIAL G-Park, Liverpool – 360,000 sq ft let to DHL on behalf of Gazeley and then sold for £18m to F&C REIT.
ReTAIL Heaton Park, Manchester – advised on the acquisition of a retail park by Terrace Hill and then structured a deal with Sainsbury’s to expand their existing store on the site to 100,000 sq ft – the largest Sainsbury’s in the north of England.
COMMeRCIAL LeASe CONSuLTANCyThe Alexandra, Salford Quays – represented tenant in lease renewal negotiations for two floors of this five-storey office development. Achieved rent reduction and rent-free incentives.
INveSTMeNT PROPeRTy MANAGeMeNTThe Graftons, Altrincham – asset management of a 73,520 sq ft mixed-use scheme undergoing partial change of use and substantial reconfiguration.
STRATeGIC DeveLOPMeNT Oldham MBC – development consultancy advice on a 24 acre mixed-use site in Failsworth. Masterplan and planning permission for leisure/residential scheme in advance of marketing campaign.
LOGISTICS & INDuSTRIAL Faurecia – instructed to dispose of two major manufacturing facilities in the North West, one sold to an end user and the other, a unit in Deeside, has been underlet to Great Bear distribution.

In a deal valued at £23.6m we acquired a 360,000 sq ft distribution facility for Kimberly-Clark. The freehold of the unit was then sold to F&C Commercial Property Trust and simultaneously leased back to Kimberly-Clark on an 11-year lease.
