The Eliminator™ Self-Cleaning Technology In Master-Fit® ModelsA. O. Smith Master-Fit commercial gas water heaters have always providedmaximum installation flexibility for both new construction and replacementapplications. Now, Master-Fit offers The Eliminator for automatic self-cleaningprotection against build-up of lime and other sediments.

As deposits of lime and other sediments accumulate inside the tank, they form a barrier between the burner and the water, concentrating heat around the critical weld areas. The results are reduced energy efficiency, higher operating costs, and greater risk of premature tank leaks.

Nothing protects like it, and nobodyoffers it but A. O. Smith. PermaGlasUltra Coat is an exclusive “slush coat”process that heat-bonds glass to eachtank’s inner surface after all connectionsand seams have been welded. Becauseit’s a slush coating process instead of aspray-on coating, PermaGlas Ultra Coatcovers and protects better.

And because A. O. Smith PermaGlasUltra Coat is applied after the tank iswelded, there is no chance of “weldburn” that can burn away normal glasslining and expose bare steel to water.

The Eliminator directs incoming cold water underpressure to sweep the bottom of the tank to keepsediment moving so it doesn’t accumulate.

With The Eliminator, every Master-Fit water heatercan be expected to maintain its rated efficiencylonger and deliver reliable service year-after-year.

PermaGlas Ultra Coat provides protection forthe tank’s top, bottom, and outer shell and all weld seams.

All welds completed priorto PermaGlas Ultra Coat.

Once tanks are filledwith PermaGlas, theyare rotated (computercontrolled ) for precise,even coating.

Technician removes hand-hole clean-out to prepareit for the next step.

Tanks are then rotatedfurther, allowing theexcess PermaGlas to drain from the tank.

After pre-drying in 200ºFovens, the tanks are thenfired to 1,600ºF, fusing thePermaGlas to the steel tank.

Smith makes it as easy as possible to install a complete packaged hot water supply system,combining 88% efficient VF Series Boilers with A. O. Smithstorage tanks. A. O. Smith offers a wide range of availableboiler/storage tank combinations using the Ac-U-Tempsystem. There are a number of standard boiler and tankconfigurations with tanks up to 1,000 gallons, or we cancustom design and build an Ac-U-Temp system with tanks up to 10,000 gallons to meet your specifications andapplication requirements. Ac-U-Temp systems are shippedfully assembled, pre-piped and pre-wired. All the installerhas to do is make the flue, gas, electrical and waterconnections, so field errors are minimized.

These skid-mounted water heater systems are completely assembled andpackaged for use. All components are sized, piped and checked at the factorybefore shipment. HWG systems save labour and time, requiring onlyconnection to heat source.
