God Provides What We need.

◦ Here is a plant

◦ What it makes it grow?

◦ The sun, water, the soil,

◦ God the creator, the Maker, did not only created the plants:

◦ He also provided everything that the plant needs to grow.

◦ God the Creator, also created us—Human beings—, and He provides everything we need to grow, not only physically, but Spiritually, too.

Sings Help to Warn Us

◦ Here is a sing of DANGER

◦ Why will someone put up a sing like this?

◦ The sing may be there, to warn people,

◦ Sings can help people to realized of some dangers, so they not fall into a hole or become harm!

◦ Or somewhere else, it might warn of quicksand!

◦ If there is another sing STOP, Why would you stop?

◦ You may stop for school bus,

◦ or for people crossing the street.

The Ten Commandments◦ I have another familiar sing: The TEN COMMANDMENTS!

◦ Why do you think God gave us these sings?

◦ You are familiar with them?

◦ God gave them to Moses so the people would obey him.

◦ But why God wants us to obey them?

◦ Did He say, “Let’s give them 3 Commandments to make their lives hard? NO!

◦ Did God say, “Let’s give the 7, then their lives will be even harder… or let’s give them ten!”

◦ No!

◦ Why did God give us these commandments?

◦ He wants us to be happy!

◦ He knows how we can get into danger.

◦ He knows how we can get hurt.

◦ God tells us in many way, “I don’t want you to be alone!

◦ Share with one another, be together, Keep you heart happy!

Sings of Love

◦ God did not give those Ten Signs, to us to make our lives harder, but happier.

◦ This are sings of love. This are the Sings of a heart.

◦ They help us to respect and to love others, and ourselves.

◦ They are opportunities for us to show God how much we love Him, and How much we love others, too.

◦ Jesus came to tell us, whose Heart it is in the Ten Commandments,

◦ Jesus, who obeyed the commandments, said,

“This is the heart of my Father!” The heart of God!

◦ They keeps us from evil doing; self-centered attitudes or selfish actions.

4) HONOR YOUR PARENTS & OBEY THEM

◦ Honor your parents and obey them

◦ This include our grandparents, too.

◦ Being obedient

◦ Being a good son or daughter

◦ Being a good student

◦ Respect them

◦ Love your brothers

◦ Don’t talk back to your parents

◦ Help and take care of them when they are old or sick.

◦ Make them to feel special

◦ In which other ways we can honor our parents?

5) You Shall Not Kill

◦ God does not want us to attempt against any type of live

◦ Do you want to be afraid that someone is coming after us to hurt us? NO! ◦ God does not want us to be afraid of each other.

◦ And God does not want us to suffer

◦ God says to us: “I want you to live, love and be happy!”

◦ God sustain all type of living beings and things in our World.

◦ What other things have life?◦ Plants

◦ animals

6)Don’t Commit Adultery

◦ What about a man leaving his family!?

◦ He says, “I have found another woman, I am going to live with her!”

◦ How can he do that?

◦ Her wife says, “Oh, please, don’t leave!”

◦ Don’t commit adultery!

◦ ADULTERY is when a man and a woman are unfaithful to each other.

◦ God says to us,

◦ “this is not happiness! You are to respect and love each other. You are to be faithful.”

◦ “Don’t commit adultery”

6)Shall not Steal

◦ What about some grabby hands?

◦ What are they grabbing for?

◦ Your bicycle? Your radio? Your Mom’s car?

◦ God does not want us to grab and take what belongs to another person

◦ Or else, what can happen?

◦ We have to guard everything we own and be afraid that someone comes and takes it.

◦ God tells us, “Do not steal. I son not want you to steal from one another.”

7) You Shall not Lie

◦ What about a crooked mouth?

◦ What does it say? Lies!

◦ Lies about you, lies about me,

◦ Maybe lies about the Church.

◦ God says,

◦ “Do not lie. Always tell the truth.

◦ You have the right to hear the Truth and speak the Truth.

◦ Do not lie.”

◦ Gossip is another action that displease our Lord.

9) & 10) You Shall not Covet

◦ What about the eyes that look at someone else’s belongings,

◦ What about the person who looks at others friend, or wife, or husband?

◦ God asks us no to do that: “I have given you enough to be happy;

◦ So not covet another person’s wife or husband or belongings.”

The Commandments of Happiness◦ Look al these happiness (commandments) that God provides for us! Look how

many there are!

◦ They are a light in our darkness,

◦ When a person loves you this much, and gives you these many ways to be happy, the it is not hard to love him

◦ Look we have 3 Commandments for our friendship with God:

1. To love Him

2. Honor Him

3. Be with Him

◦ Look how many more commandments He gave us for our neighbors.

4. Honor your parents

5. Do not kill

6. Do not commit adultery

7. Do not steal

8. Do not lie

9. Do not covet others wife

10. Don covet other things.

7 Commandments for our Neighbor

4) In the fourth commandment he asks us:

◦ Obey and Honor,

5) In the fifth:

◦ Do not Kill

6) In the sixth commandment:

◦ Do not commit adultery.

7) In the seventh:

◦ Do not steal

8) The eighth:

◦ Do not lie

9) & 10) The ninth and tenth:

◦ Do not covet, don’t be Jealous

◦ And that is the first commandment of God: “I am the Lord you God, do not have false gods before me.

◦ Love me with all your heart and soul.”

◦ When we love someone, you put all your energy and thoughts and actions to please him/her.

◦ No other God’s

◦ Money, fame, or idols of any type.

◦ The second commandment is “Honor my Name.” “Don’t take it in Vain!”

◦ God asks us: “Honor my Name. I love you!”

◦ We should love others as He loves us.

3) Keep the Sabbath Holy

◦ God asks us in the third commandment:

◦ “Come together and see me, at least once a week!

◦ Come, I love you!”

◦ He commands us to go to him

◦ To be with Him and be loved by him!

◦ How often you see your friend?

◦ Once a month? More than that!

◦ Twice a month? More!

◦ God deserve our time and our attention; he is more than a friend; He is our heavenly Father who loves us.

◦ When we are closer to God; he reveals Himself to us.

Know the Reason Why He Gave Them

◦ I think that God’s plan for our happiness is good, don’t you?

◦ He is our Maker! He made us and He knows us!

◦ He knows what makes us happy!

◦ Listen to the Maker! He is taking good care of us.

◦ He wants us to be happy.

◦ Don’t just know the commandments by their numbers: know the

Person who gave them to us and know the REASON why He gave

them.

◦ He loves us, and He wants us to love one another.

◦ Someone asked Jesus once: which one was the greatest

commandment?

◦ Jesus said, the greatest is to love one another, to love your neighbor

as yourself.

Sin breaks The Law and A Heart.

◦ When we break a commandment, we call it a sin.

◦ Sin is not just breaking a law, sin is breaking a Heart, the hear of a Person, God who loves us!

◦ You know that the laws of God are written in our hearts, in the heart of every person.

◦ We know what is good and what is not good.

◦ Listen to your conscience.

◦ Stay close to God. And stay close to those who tell you about God.

◦ Be faithful and come every time we get together. Here we all listen to the Maker!

God Speak to Us in Many Ways◦ The Maker speaks to us in many ways:

◦ at our meetings, in church, at home.

◦ In Holy Scriptures

◦ In words, events, or any other situation

◦ In the nature and His creation (He reveals Himself and gives us peace)

◦ We need to pray it is very important. When we pray, let us listen to the advice of Jesus: what is He saying to us?

◦ (John’s Gospel, chapter 14) “Anyone who receives my commandments and keep them, loves me.

◦ And anybody who loves me will be loved by my Father. And I will love them and show myself to them.”

◦ That is wonderful to hear!

Thank you for Your Commands

◦ Today we were talking about our Maker. He knows how to keep us growing, and He gives us what we need. Let us stay close to God.

◦ Listen to the Maker, He loves you. He know what brings happiness to all of us. Listen to you heart because God lives there.

◦ Let us start praying to the Maker right now and thank Him for these wonderful plans for our happiness.

◦ Let us quiet ourselves, come into the presence of the Maker. I will begin:

◦ “Dear God, I thank you for your commands: you are asking me to love you , to love myself and love my neighbor.

◦ Help me to honor your commands because you love me, and you want my life to be happy.
