CW5 Tyler currently serves as the Command Chief Warrant Officer/Senior Technical Advisor for the White House Communication Agency. From 2018-2021 he served as the Deputy Director G6, for the 1st CIG (Airborne). Prior to that he served as the Senior Cyber Operations Planner for the United States Army-Pacific, G6 in Hawaii. From 2016-2017, he served with the 25th Infantry Division, as the Senior Signal Warrant Officer. From 2013 to 2016, he served as the Course Manager for the 255A Warrant Officer Advance Course and as a Microsoft IT Academy Instructor/Writer for the U.S. Army’s Signal School. From 2012-2013, he completed a fellowship with Microsoft Headquarters, in Redmond, WA with the U.S. Army’s Training with Industry Program. From 2010 to 2012, he served as a Senior Information Systems Technician with the 4th Sustainment Brigade Fort Hood, TX. From 2005 to 2010, he served as the Officer in Charge of the Sustainment Automation Support section with the 3rd HBCT (Greywolf), 1st Cavalry Division. His education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Information Technology from Capella University, a Master’s in Technology Management, a Master’s of Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He holds industry certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP) and numerous others. He has completed all levels of Warrant Officer Education, culminating in Warrant Officer Senior Service Education at Fort Rucker, AL. Additionally, he has completed How the Army Runs Course at Fort Belvoir, VA. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (2 oak leaf clusters), Meritorious Service Medal (2 oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal (7 oak leaf clusters), Army Achievement Medal (10 oak leaf clusters), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 star), Iraqi Campaign Medal (4 stars), Korean Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Global War on Terror (Service), Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Air Assault Badge. He is also a recipient of the Signal Corps’ Bronze Order of Mercury. He is married to the former Dr. Tolanda Cassidy and they are the proud parents of 4 kids. He served seven years as an AG and Signal Non-Commissioned Officer before being commissioned as a Signal Warrant Officer in 2005. His enlisted time was served with the 10th Mountain Division Fort Drum, NY; 8th Personnel Command Seoul, Korea; the Defense Intelligence Agency, Fort Meade, MD and the Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, VA.
