A huge gathering of school and collage students, graphic artists, illustrators, writers , young publishers took place in Dilli-haat, New Delhi for the sake of reviving childhood heros, love for the comics (which still help to dream as well push minds to fantasy lands), and the passion for the graphic arts. This is an interacting platform for aspiring writers and cartoonists to share their work with comic enthusiasts as well as revival of long forgotten comics such as Amar Chitra katha and Indrajal (to name a few) and many more. It was very good meet for the indigenous comic group to showcase internationally and nationally.

The 2nd time comic con India was more organised than 1st one. Inaugurated from February 17th and lasted till 19th February,2012, comic con this year registered innumerous people, 80 participants with good sponsors( Marvel, Flipkart and Inkfruit) and came up with India’s very own superwoman character,i.e. “superkudi” who flaunts “dupatta” as a cape in her Indian attire with red stiletto.

This whole initiative has been done by Twenty onwards media, a start up by an young turk,

Jatin Verma and his team.

Various artists, writers, publishers and related companies from India and across the world has attended this fest. There were many book launching session for example Cyber Wit Publishers, The Indian Time Traveller, Vizag Blue & Hyderabadi Biryani took part of launching. some even went one step further as Vimanika edutainment launched their new title ,Moksha(vol#5) as well their apparel line.

One of the interesting session was the

“cosplay” in the fest which inspired many young people to come ,register and relish their” fantasy land character” feel.
