Come in …

Our school is located in the north-east of France, in the Lorraine area, and more precisely in the Moselle department, near the town of Metz. It has some 520 pupils.

What is a day at Rémilly like ?

We generally start school at 8:00 in the morning, but some of us have the luck to start a little later ;-) We always have a 15-minute break around 10:00. Classes last 55 minutes, and we finish school at 3:40 pm everyday, except on Wednesdays, since we leave at 12:00.

The languages we study in addition to French are English, German and Spanish. But we don’t study all of these foreign languages, we have to choose two of them. Some pupils have decided to study two of them plus Latin as a third language, which implies a busy timetable !

At Rémilly we also study history, geography, civics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and technology. Besides, we have artistic subjects, such as musical education and art. To finish, as we need to get exercise, we also have physical education. In addition to all these subjects, we can choose to attend the religion classes.

When we don’t have class, we have study periods to do our homework, or we can go to the library to do research or just to read novels or magazines. Sometimes, when the weather is sunny and hot, we are allowed to stay outside, in the playground, to have fun with our friends, but we always have supervisors to look after us, of course !

Among the sports we do during our P.E. classes, there is handball, basketball, baseball, table-tennis, volley-ball, javelin, badminton, football, athletics, circus activities… We also have several teams of girls who practice gymnastics and who take part in local championships.

At the end of the day, after class, we can participate in extra-curricular activities : we have a drama club, as well as an English club …
