I have also subsequently received comments from another Technical Group member in respect of making the note more consistent in respect of storey height etc. lt was also suggested that BCA write a technical article on the use of combustible materials in cladding systems to buildings over 18m which would then be published by BCA members to increase the awareness of the issues in the industry. I have therefore attached the following for your final comment and agreement- BCA Guidance Note 18 Rev 1 Draft (Revisions are marked in RED) BCA Combustible Cladding Article I submitted both of these to the BCA Executive Meeting last week and it was agreed that subject to your agreement that these be published ASAP. In terms of the article this will be carried by- · LABC Outlook (Distributed to all LABC Members) · NHBC Technical Extra (Distributed to over 10 000 subscribers) · RICS/CABE and CIOB publications · ACAI will also circulate it to all members I am keen to have this published and the amended GN put onto the website as soon as possible so would ask for any comments to be submitted to me no later than close of play 12th May 2015. If I do not hear from you I will assume that you are in agreement and will proceed with distribution.
