Red Solo Cup & Federation Benefit Red Solo cups have long been distributed and have served as collection containers for tabs from soda, beer, vegetable, fruit, cat & dog food cans—anything with a pull tab. All districts have been collecting these to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Keep saving your tabs and bring them to the meetings!

ConnectionsTech Tip
Do you like food shopping? Well, that’s a hard question to answer for some. Perhaps you enjoy
walking up and down the aisles and plan your shopping when you know the grocery store will be the least crowded. That’s wonderful if you have the time and really enjoy the process. On the other hand, wouldn’t it be nice if those items you buy each week or very often could be pulled from the shelves, bagged, and ready for you to pick up…when YOU want? Uh, yeah, no brainer. You may have a favorite store, but if you like Shoprite, they have a GREAT app/website—Shoprite from HOME. Sit in your pajamas, pick your purchases, add the items to your virtual cart, select a time to pick up OR you can have them delivered! Think this might not be time/cost effective….well, this editor uses the service routinely, but during the storm week took a bit longer to select the items and when her grocery pick up person—(GPUP, aka husband)—wanted to pick up the items on that Saturday, there were no time slots available. So, the GPUP chose to take the list and drive to Shoprite. After 2 hours of onsite grocery shopping vs. 10 minutes of bag pickup, upon returning home, the GPUP declared the experience, “TORTURE!” If your grocery store does not offer this service, ask to have it implemented. You will NOT be disappointed. Now, what will you do with all the extra time you’ve saved—massage, facial???
Caveat: The editor drives to a butcher to get meats (Bagliani’s, Hammonton), and to a produce vendor (BF Mazzeo’s) or the Farmers’ Market in season to purchase vegetables.
