WRAGGS LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE Wraggs Launches New Website Here at Wraggs Seafoods, we’re excited about the launch of our new website which we hope will transform the way customers and suppliers interact with our business. Since being acquired by Collins Seafoods in 2011, we’ve received a huge amount of investment; gaining a new warehouse, stores and a fleet of new vehicles with the website being the final addition to our revitalisation. The new website means our customers and suppliers now have instant access to in-depth information on the wide range of products and services we provide. Features of the website include an opportunity to sign up to receive our newsletter and product guide, as well as being able to keep up to date with the latest industry developments with our blog and social media feeds. New website ahoy! wraggs LauNChes New website

Wraggs Launches New Website

Here at Wraggs Seafoods, we’re excited about the launch of our new website which we hope will transform the way customers and suppliers interact with our business.

Since being acquired by Collins Seafoods in 2011, we’ve received a huge amount of investment; gaining a new warehouse, stores and a fleet of new vehicles with

the website being the final addition to our revitalisation.

The new website means our customers and suppliers now have instant access to in-depth information on the wide range of products and services we provide. Features of the website include an opportunity to sign up to receive our newsletter and product guide, as well as being able to keep up to date with the latest industry

developments with our blog and social media feeds.

It’s always been our aim to launch a separate Wraggs site. It was important to us not to merge Collins’ and Wraggs’ online presence as both companies have their own unique character and customer base.

To visit our new website go to www.wraggsseafoods.co.uk

We have compiled a list of our favourite and hilarious - ok, our favourite - fish jokes for you to enjoy, so have a read and see if you cod do any batter!

What do you call a big fish who makes you an offer you can’t refuse? The Codfather

Why did the plaice go to the doctor? Because she was feeling a bit flat

Where do you find a crab with no legs? Exactly where you left it

What kind of money do fishermen make? Net profits

F ish FactsAt Collins Seafoods we’re fascinated by fish, and why wouldn’t we be? After reading these lesser known fish facts we think you will be too. There are many health benefits of our Frozen at Sea Cod and Haddock (which are pretty great), but they’re not the most talented fish in the sea…

1. Green fingered DamselfishSome species of Damselfish (Stegastes Nigricans to be precise) are unable to digest many types of algae. So, being fussy eaters, they selectively weed their algae gardens to encourage their preferred meal to grow.

2. Long live the JellyfishWhilst not technically a fish, the Turritopsis dohrnii or ‘immortal jellyfish’ might be worth a mention seeing as it may well have cracked the secret to eternal life. This particular species of Jellyfish can revert back to its juvenile state of a polyp colony, eventually becoming an adult once again.

3. What’s the time Mr Fish?A Humphead Wrasse called Bentley has been conditioned to expect food upon hearing a certain sound. This clever fish remembered exactly what to do when the sound was played after a four month gap.

4. Rise of the planet of the fish?An Orange Spotted Turkfish has been caught on camera using tools to get to its food. In the video the intrepid fish can be seen picking up a clam in its mouth and repeatedly throwing it against a rock in order to crack it open.

5. The great escapeAustralian crimson spotted rainbow fish learnt how to escape the net in their tank then remembered how to do it 11months later!

6. Pablo Puffer FishArtistic Puffer fish can spend up to a week creating artistic patterns on the sea bed in order to impress a mate.

All pretty impressive…but there is no way that they taste half as good as our Cod and Haddock!
