Chasing Changes

People change, things go wrong, sh*t happens, but life goes on. Back then, I always supposed that

change is a concept that occurs every time you will transfer to a new place or when you lost a beloved person. Those are a few of the ingredients to change, yes, but change doesn’t need to be happening over a solo dramatic event. It can just happen overnight when your brain decides it’s time to do something different. Changes are everywhere, occurring everytime. This concept demands us to become different in a particular way of life, because inevitably this will form part to the circle where

we struggle to survive. If we are not ready to handle the notion of change then we should be ready to embrace the idea of extinction, because basically, change is life. Every individual, in every walk of life, will be a beneficiary or a victim of change. That’s why we should open our senses to this kind of view, be receptive and willing enough to go with the strong gush in any kind of evolution. Be vigilant. Be an advocate. One way is to stop, look and listen. The second issue of the Collegium opens ideas on the topics that every UMyot should be able to know about. The kind of stories that will

make you to momentarily stop, to look around you, and to listen what ought to be paid your attention. From stories that bring inspirations until to those that will surely hit your decisioning skills, this first release will be a grand buffet to your mind with side dishes and appetizers. So this I’m asking you: read and keep this magazine, and then be a campaigner to positive changes; be a sponsor towards advancement; never take part to those that will detriment you and those that surround you. Use your feet to stop… and move. Use your eyes to look… and act. Use your ears to hear… and listen.

Today’s world is encapsulated with issues that drastically modify the common ventures of common men. The three students on the cover personify the thirst for liberality, accentuating that although our eyes are covered, we see; ears concealed, we listen; and mouth sealed, we speak. This evidences that advocating responsibility and pursuing the rights to acquire and spread campus awareness has never been asleep.

THE CHANGES WITHIN UMTC’S CAMPUS FOR THE S.Y. 2015-2016

Fellow Umians! UM Tagum College, one of the region’s prime mover in the production of top notchers in the country is on the threshold of unlocking academic and social potentials of the students. Needless to say, vast changes in the campus are now barefaced as a result of its continuing improvement in its appearance and

performances. Presently, our institution is now on the stage of the onrush. We, students, the beneficiaries of all the makeshift have marked our views on our day to day living in the campus. The improvements that you can see are just a piece of the whole scheme that our school’s administrators are planning of. But, wait!, how far are you aware of with what’s up and fresh in the school? A lot of new in our campus today have been established and will be established. Would you mind to peek for a moment and see what are those?

UMTC VMG VERSION 2.0

Brief but complete. The general idea is to produce globally competent graduates. UMTC’s new and improved Vission, Mission and Goal statements danced like neon lights, bringing comprehensive cheer to the institution’s pursuit of quality services. To suffice what were embedded in the classroom walls, the institution leave no opportunity unattained thus meeting the requisites of leveling up aligned with the accreditation process. This new VMG drives UMTC in producing topnotchers, who will form part the advancement of the institution, itself, and the locality. Likewise, because of its vision, integrative quality education, we now belong to the kind of colleges trailing for national and international recognition.

NEW STOREY OF KNOWLEDGE

Today, additional 15 classrooms were established on the third storey of the school’s DPT building. This is to accommodate the even increasing population of the students which reached about 10, 000 total number as first semester evaluation states. Out of the 15 rooms, one is designed to be the new e- library of the Learning and Information Center (LIC). The old one will be razed to give way for the expansion of the college library.

AIMING HIGH, REACHING HIGHER

“Our mission is to make all programs accredited,” Ma’am Fely Rabaca stressed out in an interview. She recognized that the increase of the number of UMians is rapid, thus the UMTC administration must fabricate actions to better gauge the academic programs of the institution. As an effect, several courses were certified by an accrediting body, the PACUCOA, in consonance to its maintaining standards. Recently, the College of Business Administration made its way to the level II accreditation, while the departments of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Criminology are on the level I, eyeing for the next level. On one hand, the colleges of Accountancy/Accounting Technology and Computer Science have finished its process of consultancy for acrrediting last July 12.

3

For Higher Pursuit. UMTC extends quality education and service through its recently constructed third storey of DPT building, which has provided 15 new classrooms and offices.

Since, we now know the list of additionals our institution bear, it is a challenge for us Umyots to strive harder for excellence. The UMTC family provided us with more instruments of learning and things that will bolster our potentials. Let us inculcate into our minds that our school is a place where quality education and spirit of camaraderie spark.

THE FOUR PIECES OF LOVE

Today, Living On the Vending Experiences is one of the most frequent actions of the Umyots and Umyats during their thirst period, this is through the four vending machines scattered inside the Arellano Campus. The thirst-quenching drinks, of various color and taste, are available one near the Mabini Gate, two machines at the hallway proceeding to the rooms of the Crim studes and also at the front of the Program Heads’ Office and Guidance Office. From ice-chilled lemonades to bitter-sweet coffees, surely these drink dispenser will slake your throat’s craving.

NOT FORGOTTEN, BUT REMEMBERED.

Some students said that the most forgotten place of our institution is the UM Visayan Campus, where in fact not! Our future engineers are not forgotten, however remembered. Fresh from the Director’s Office – Ma’am Fely affirmed that the UMTC - VC will be having a leisure space on the go. Aside from that, the programs offered on this campus, especially the Engineering Education, will soon have their accreditation, which will be followed by the improvement of the facilities, new spacious laboratory and the expansion of its Learning and Information Center (LIC). The listed upgrading of the UMTC-VC will be pioneered next semester or maybe next school year. However, the most requested piece of equipment of the Visayan students — a photocopier machine — has been delivered to them late this first semester.

THE NEW OSA HEAD

Some people thrive best in dire circumtances. The former faculty chairman is now on the seat of the Office of Student Affairs. The newly elected OSA Head- Prof. Florante Z. Astillo, felt the laurels when his efforts were appreciated by his co-educators and by the school administration. Few words from his mouth make us to shove wisdom, between the significance of teaching as a simple professor and now handling greater responsibilities. As quoted, “ Gisayangan ko sa akong pagka maestro, kay nag apply ko diri maestro man, unya duha nalang

akong subjects, [ I kind of regretted (the trailing behind of) my teaching profession since I applied to become one, yet (currently) my subjects are only two],” told the OSA Head. “But you know, it’s a big honor because the administration remembered my efforts and commitment,” he added. Needless to say, the new OSA Head is very committed on meeting the expectations of the students and the school’s admin. “ What is the essence and nature of OSA is to help the students and nurture them not only in academics but also in other programs,”explained Prof. Astillo. “Expect me to do my job, and you too, students I expected that you will do your part,” he said.

It was a dark night of Thursday, 10:30. I was just staring at a mere piece of document filled with words and numbers, a sheet of paper engulfed with questions, terror and so much pressure. At that moment of exhaustion, I finally decided, “I need an escape.” Leaving the burdens behind, I was transported to the home of great sorcerers -- Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While staying, I’ve met Harry and Hermione who taught me the spell that will provide someone automatic answers to any exam; an incantation that would be casted in order to obtain high scores! Then suddenly, while I was busy mixing a potion, I was warped into another dimension and found myself completing the lost seven Dragon Balls. I summoned the almighty dragon, Shenlong, who would grant everything I wish. I pondered: “I don’t need to study the upcoming exam when I can actually wish for a perfect score!” But before I could say my request to Shenlong, a person interrupted. It was Dr. Peers Steel I figured out. He is the author of “The Procrastination Equation”. He scolded me for wandering my mind too far and said, “Seriously? That’s the best thing you could do before your exams!” With so much humiliation, I replied, “What would I do?” He then enlightened me about procrastination, “the more adjacent to temptation you are, the more you are in risk to procrastination.” He advised me some pointers to have effective studying habits, “… be a temptation resistant, as much as possible focus on what you’re doing, that’s the pre-requisite. Also, try working under a limited span of time; you’ll be blown away with the efficiency you could generate.” Subsequently after meeting Dr. Steel I was dragged back to reality. I was facing a cup of coffee and pieces of reviewers. My fantasizing is sadly over. I glanced at the clock and found out it was already pointing at 12 midnight. I then realized something terrible. I was nervous, terrified, horrified and it left me nothing but to screech, “I haven’t studied yet!” Procrastination, indeed suffice the wild imaginings within. But despite this sojourning pleasure brought by our brain is the wasted time for academic pursuit, time which supposed to be utilized for researching something useful than indulging oneself into a place far-fetched.

Pag exam, on time yan.

THE AMBASSADORof advancement, of knowledge, of enthusiasmWORDS BY: MAVIS MORATILLAPHOTOS BY: JECSON OAFALLAS

He never assumed of having a kind of achievement trumpeting across the miles, but, of course, he once dreamt. He just wanted to impart knowledge to his fellow and be an inspiration, yet he was awarded. His recognition, of men undeniably envied, broadcasted his initiative and excellence in using modern technology in helping students learn and achieve more and ultimately succeed in a mobile-first world. His delightful journey of recognition-reaping started in the midst of November 2014 after he was invited by the Microsoft Philippines to a conference of Filipino educators after he has submitted a 21st Century learning activity to its official website, showing integration of technology in handling a common provincial classroom. Later on, Microsoft Education Network has selected him as one of the 16 Microsoft Innovative Expert Educators (MIEE) in the Philippines, which further consisted the 800 educators around the world chosen by Microsoft USA. He then became a Microsoft Ambassador of the Philippines and has been selected to attend the Microsoft in Education Global Educators Exchange (E2) in Redmond, Washington, United States of America last April 28 to May 1, 2015. What’s more noteworthy is that the eminent Bill Gates, himself, was one of the jurors who delicately picked him to carry the country’s flag along with a La Sallan professor on the international event. Sir Jecson’s advocacy in teaching deals with the application of technology through the utilization of mobile devices which was vastly incorporated in his learning activity that made it

exceptional among all other entries. The activity was a video presentation that shows a group of grade 4 pupils utilizing a mobile phone and a laptop to carry out their investigative project which was labeled by Sir Jecson as “Experiment Made Easy! – Identifying Mixtures“. “Apparently, the hardest part in the whole process was to represent the education in the Philippines to the global mass,” said Sir Jec. “I simply wanted to show an image of the Philippines advancing [in terms of education] through the use of technology [and] not just about poverty,” he continued. His presentation was simple in form, yet heavy in substance. The children involved in the research activity were tasked to identify the kind of mixture the provided samples belonged. First, they need to know the definition of homo and heterogenous mixtures as to become fully aware of what the samples should be branded. “So the learning objective was to search for the words homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures using the ICT tools ex. mobile apps dictionaries and encyclopedia in mobile device and transcribing it in the laptop with the use of MS Office Word.” The simple activity has became the instrument for Sir Jecson to travel abroad for the first-time and witness other nation’s method of education, thus increasing his own knowledge in imparting wonders of wisdom. This enthusiastic man born from Buhi, Camarines Sur is now recognized by Microsoft as global leader in using technology to increase productivity and transform education in the Philippines. Having completed his bachelor’s degree from a university here in Tagum City, Mr. Jecson is currently employed as a school teacher of Union Elementary School where he had showered the benefits of his success from the “all expense paid” travels abroad. Currently he is portraying his new role in the community as an MIE Expert in building educator capacity for using technology to improve student learning, advising Microsoft and educational institutions on how to integrate technology in pedagogically sound ways and being an advocate at conferences, events and trainings for how Microsoft technology can improve learning. Each year, Microsoft selects MIE experts around the globe to be part of an exclusive global community that is paving the way for their peers to share ideas, try new approaches and learn from each other. This year, Microsoft selected more than 800 thought leaders in innovative learning who possess technology and desire to amplify their reach and voice. (http:/www.pil-network.com/Resources/LearningActivities) Indeed, Filipino educators, as Sir Jecson as an insignia, are the finest among others; creating bugles of acknowledgement and medals of exception across the globe.

In line with the thirst of various minds to be acquainted with this expertise, University of Mindanao- Tagum has been activated to produce individuals fully geared in the exploration of this specialization and would transform people to beings with torrid spirit yearned for technical advancements Proving its merit throughout the archipelago, the electrical engineering maneuvers an exemplary performance with its one hundred percent passing rate in the licensure examination for electrical engineers beyond the 53.24% national passing rate for September 2012, 53.64% national passing rate for September 2013 and 59.89% national passing rate for September 2014. With this superlative results brought to the school, how does the engineering department uphold its impeccable performance?“Aim topnotch” this is what Engr. Ronald Renon Quirante stressed out as an effective formula for garnering impressive ratings regarding the licensure exam for electrical engineers. Adjacent to this Engr. Quirante also highlighted the support system received by the takers from their colleagues. “Our techniques is increasing with the help of the previous experience shared by those who already passed, they leave no men behind.” Furthermore, Engr. Jerald Mutoc, who is one of the recent passers of the said exam and is now currently teaching at UMTC, also emphasized prayers and sacrifices as factors in surpassing the exam. “The sincere teachings of our mentors helped us a lot in our journey to becoming competent engineers,” he added. Meanwhile, in the view of the Electrical Engineering Program head Engr. Newman Malaya, he stressed the academic institution as a driving force for accomplishing the exam. “The student’s determination is the primary reason; we’re only here to help them push their limits.” Moreover, Engr. Malaya also mentioned the bittersweet reality towards

becoming a competent engineer. “Tanan man gyud kay ma-engineer, dli lang jud sabay tanan, just don’t quit [Everyone (referring to the engineering students) will eventually become engineers, it’s just not on the same time, just don’t quit.]” Truly, the transit to acquiring education is a rocky and steep undertaking but guided with the adept and visionary pillars of the school complemented with learner’s willpower, the destination towards the summit of triumph and threshold of opportunities would be on our reach.

For five years of putting the University seal in the red-carpetted hallway, its advocated and shrewd heads spearheaded the ingenious idea in changing the usual and traditional tutorial endeavor into a more kept-an-eye way of addressing the academic struggles of some education students who obtained below 80% of each grade from any professional, major and general education subjects, in order to empower and maintain commendable performances.“Our newest innovation includes Buddy Sytstem: Tutorial Scheme aiming to commence academic movements and to sustain the excellent performance of the department”, Dr. Jose Elmer Oficiar, program chair, proudly emphasized during the interview.

“TOPNOTCHERS HUB”, a compliment that the department continues to uphold. A mark of excellence and a blot of good performance. But, remember. excellent expidition flactuates when no one seeks for tactical plan however will be more fortified when one hunts and craves for more.

“Since we are following the Retention

Policy, we have to be strict and forthright enough in

opting the best crafts in our department. Thus, our new-fangled tutorial scheme is

compelled to give chance to those who want to pursue

something.”

Supervising the students’ progress is one of its features. The tutors, which are students as well who have remarkable scholastic peformance, are tasked to submit weekly written reports comprised with three sessions. The tutors may teach various subjects such as basic and advanced Mathematics, Science, English, etc. for general education subjects; Facilitating Learning, Principles of Teaching, etc. for professional subjects and Linguistics, Statistics, etc. for major subjects. Journals of tutors-tutees performance and assessment records are also included to give series of scrutiny and analysis on the students’ development. After the end of the semester, five student-tutors will be recognized as best and will be rewarded cash incentives for the efforts they have apportioned. “The very target of the program is to maintain the higher performance and to top (again) in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)”, said Dr. Oficiar. In connection also for its privileges, the contribution will not only focussed on the student-tutee but also gives advantage on the side of the tutors. To elaborate, as tutors of course, they need to study the lessons that they will be teaching. With that, they are also reviewing their past lessons and most probably they are going to master the topic. Then, there will be no reason for the student-tutors to not pass the board exam and eventually will top. Just like any other program having its launching, the heads have already considered a pessimistic view of the tutorial scheme, Dr. Oficiar quoted, “the road towards achieving the target would not be free from challenges but the very purpose of innovation is to make adjustments along the way.” In relation also to its innovation is the Professional Education Comprehensive Examination (PECE), a semi- mock board way of assessing the students’ comprehension regarding all professional subjects. This examination is 50% from the total examination per professional subject. This will not only identify the students’ strengths but will also enumerate their weaknesses about the subject. Promotion of Mindanao Culture and Arts and Field Study abroad are also its additonal innovation. These are all products of a vigorous determination and keen supervision of the heads to prepare its constituents for the real battle of professionalism. Dr. Oficiar encouragingly stressed, “we need to respond so that we will soar high because we are the wise owls.” Like a torch, it has a light that leads to a brighter journey. And so as with the education department, it has newest and fresh ventures that will help find and hone the real them.

W A L A N G K A S I N G G A N D A S I M A R I AMALIBAN KAY JOSEWORDS BY: ROY BANIAS / ILLUSTRATION BY: RIC KEVIN L. CONDE

Madilim, tahimik at misteryoso. Ahihi. As far as my 6-inch red stilettos are concerned, kailangan na talaga ni pabebe self ang makapasok. Hihi. “OMG! Ylona, you hurt my nose!” Bailey, ane beh? Genyen ke be telege megsheleta? Haha. Kaya ayon, Imbyernadeth me,

Page 17: Collegium Vol. 23 Issue No. 2

So, umaga na pala. Haha. So, wala na akong kauring nasa bahay. Yehey! Tara inom tayo!”... to be continued ...

CLASH of CLANSWORDS BY: FRECEL T. ROQUE

‘At the dawn of time from the chaos came an exception.’ Two clans bestowed with unique umbra, where regions of complete shadow resulting to a total obstruction of light dimmed

the uneasily perceived reality by the senses, the distinct description poured out by the two clans is at large to be revealed.

THOSE TWO CLANS is the metaphor of the two distinct campuses of UM-Tagum College, since it is the only known university in seam with two campuses within the city, the main campus and the Visayan campus. But those two campuses are of different composition of gravity, of different proportionality structure, of different air to be inhaled and of different minds to be unravelled. See I came from that other blurry native place right up in the mountains of Visayan, in our world where it is slightly impossible to come to the other and just when an underground and so much needed transaction to be fulfilled into the other world. Only the much anticipated and important events collides our world; during the enrolment, processing of requirements, Intramurals, club day, acquaintance day and all the least event that can only happen in a very short span of time.

The Land of Remembered simply refers to the main campus, where the clan civilization is at its depth, a festive and magical place for those who live at the core; it is a representation of an exquisite and a majestic sojourn. Combination of the state of the art facilities doesn’t thrive to the opposite world instead; it only subsists in the world that won’t deprive the essentials of a grandiose people and its world. There, in the land of remembered you may find an endless fiesta, party spirit runs in the blood of their citizens. The heat generated by the exceeding population can be quenched after ingesting energy capsules from their classic machines otherwise known as the “biological rocket fuel” with varied flavours; nutrients get absorbed first by the stomach lining and eventually by the blood stream, releasing it to the rest of the body thus causing hype to everyone in that land. But below that place of endless fiesta is the land of forgotten the barrio

Visayan, the clan of, sad and lonely destination, for those people who run out with water splurging rusts. But the people living in this forgotten land inhales the serene beauty of nature, its green and safe aura makes the citizens hug fun from the harvest of the signature scents all around its refreshing ambiance. Small noise can be heard as of music to the ear, tinged heartily with soul. But they cry out some pain, the food fiesta from the mainland is being denied in the forgotten land, the robo-machines producing copies to provide intellect is invisible, no other extended fun outside the growl. The land of forgotten, the land once unforgotten, this is where I live, this has been my home for many years, and since the rulers of this land are striving so hard to achieve the same or equal opportunities as of to the mainland, we’re already beyond and is higher than the peak.

See that signage hanging in the lobby? Of course we all did! Attracted to this yellow-blue-colored letters up there, we can actually say that “uneven pavements” don’t just apply as signage to the floors and grounds. Taking it even deeper to the institution’s stretch of innovation and improvements have even caused imbalanced reforms that somehow we cannot immediately perceive it and observe, but it has to be acted upon.

The university’s magnanimous and fruitful years of service has never failed by the public to applaud for its impressive and splendid performance. And as a matter of fact, it brought its name on top as a guaranteed institution, commended for its quality duty through empowerment of integrated education and advocates of community-friendly learning! Numerous years had gone through of giving itself for the best of their clients was even proved by producing eminent

and influential individuals in our community today. And now that we have been remarked as an accredited academic institution, no wonder that it encapsulated in the innate pride of every UMian folk to feel the deepest pleasure as recipients of educational endowments. That was a total “Bravo and Benissimo!”. Geared as it is of upholding the ‘think-outside-the-box’ core value, constructing a new building, repainting the walls there, placing those techie vending

machines, and plenty of moves like these were in the prime lists for the Accreditation do’s and trends in our university today. Undoubtedly that it marked huge difference from previous years and labeled our ever prominence as time passed by. But as new ones were built, few were forgotten too. These may seem unobservable but when we focus our senses to a more detailed one can we be able to see them. Some aspects dropped over, cared less and focused less. Calling it

Page 27: Collegium Vol. 23 Issue No. 2

“Accreditation Depreciation” may sound a little ironic and opposite but by hook or crook, truth speaks. Take for example when second bests are at its peak like how the blackboards in Bohol building (old building) showed off obsolescence compared to the boards placed on the new one. In fact, they were all whiteboards in the new building. Ventilation, until today, has also been a struggle in the old building, unlike at the New that we undeniably caress a fresher atmosphere (they’re not big deal though but they seriously give a disturbing impact to the learners especially during hot days). Sitting on the steel chair and looking at your skin afterwards with pieces of paint has also been the students’ picture of a disproportion. Or have you also experienced that when tough rains come, waters will surprise your shoes in the hallway like we all walk in an oasis? The struggle and strife for flush is a big “no” for the comfort room users, and who would ever want that? Sometimes, the lack of water supply for these places was

at its finest. Sinks are malfunctioning, tissues were absent and even defective locks for the cubicles exist. A lot of students seriously suffer privacy for those substandard locks. Worst scenario is when the atmosphere of to-the-max unpleasant odor and stinky smell spread throughout the surroundings that have to be sternly minded. Funny yet true, but this is a major problem for the campus’ “it-girls”, those lipstick-is-on women, hygiene-concerned men or even as rational beings as we are, we crave for a clean smell, of course, most especially when we freshen-up ourselves inside. Like the “Tik-tok” of the clock in a very silent moment was heard, that was like how students from Visayan Campus clicked their insights about ‘unequal attention’. Lots of improvements are seen in the Main Campus yet the Annex has been like left out antiquated or timeworn. Main and Annex students pay the same prices of fees for facilities. Truly, the irregularities of major stuffs like these are somewhat our dear administration should look up to, not only that they will make their Annex clients roll with punches of praise and esteem for their

vicinity but will bring the whole university into a plus-pointer acclamation of real accreditation and applauded innovation. But beyond those faux pas and unattended stuffs, the university has never been stagnant and motionless in terms of advancements and caretaking the needs of their clients to the best as they can. Minding only on the other hand that their customers have been paying fees and bills right and so deserve to receive double standardized services that aim to educate the student to picture out and experience what an atmosphere of world-class, competent learning environment is, not only inside their rooms but outside too. Depreciation from Accreditation is definitely not ideal for an accredited institution. The university has undeniably proved its excellence for quite long years, but it doesn’t end there! Excellence must be non-stop specifically in these times of global literacy competence. Claiming to be the “first in leadership education” must be meant not just in academics but even in a single detail of the learning ambiance for the better stay of everyone.

The truth about

WORDS BY: FRECEL L. ROQUELYING

When sorrows come, they come not in single spies, but in battalions. It’s not a lie for Shakespeare had

written that some four hundred years earlier and that is still very evident today. Where those sorrows rarely

came from? One thing may be, from lying?

Have we gone providing ourselves with our own made sorrow from a simple lie? From deep frying our

own future with a single lie, from defying our own friend because of a lie? From ruining a relationship whatever may it be because of lying? Here’s a thing,

we all lie, apparently from a ten-minute coversation we’ll tell three lies, and that’s one truth from lying.

As a student, we are the common receiver of the word “LIAR”, simply because cheating can be addressed

as lying. Others say, “We lie for the goodness of others”, well that cannot justify the means; I mean we

shouldn’t do moral things for moral reasons. You can say to the person whatever you ought to say not in

the meanest way but in the most honest way.

When we were younger, older people tell us that lying isn’t good where in fact we learn straight from

them how to lie accordingly. One ripped and very old example is when a debt collector comes to get the payment in our home or other scenarios lets you take

with a respond, older people would ask you to tell they’re not in your place and that’s just to go away

from paying or other stuffs.

See, lying is a recyclable material here on earth, as we re-use those lies it gets better and better, one could be

a professional liar then. And that’s not good fellows. I’m a liar, I admit that, but that couldn’t be a regular

show for me, people change you know.

Here are some irregular but regular flows of lying we encounter each day. Good thing it comes with the truth.

“Oh, I have not studied my lessons, I could get zero for this exam”1but the result is a perfect score.

CONSEQUENCE:

Ten Pimples

“I’m done making the whole presentation for our research”

24 hours passed and that person did not appear.

but you know you’re not.CONSEQUENCE:

breakup

“Wait for me... I’d be there in a second”

CONSEQUENCE:

DELAYED FLIGHT ORCANCELLED

OUTING4

but it was just a minute passed when he started it.CONSEQUENCE:

“Sir, give me an extension, all my files have been deleted because of the trojan wars”

the truth is, that one fell asleep last night and wasn’t able to create his report.

Failure5

CONSEQUENCE:

hair extension is the only extension he will get

From a very simple and not obvious lies we leave each day rotates the scoring table we got. Through lying, one might escape from being hurt but one couldn’t escape from the truth, the bottom line cannot be a single sorrow rather maybe battalions of it. At this time, we could finely change the score in the slowest tempo.

THe Trend Killed theCLASSIC

Thanks to the curriculum enrolled in our university for this matter will no longer be forgotten by our present generation. Literature basically means anything written that of literary works such as poetry, short stories, essays, etc. A creative work that is written, spoken or printed with brilliant artistry of expression and ideas. And it usually mirrors the beginnings of a civilization, of a history. Somehow, today’s new breed embraces a new brand of literature. A kind that’s liberated, free and independent. Everyone has its freedom to write their thoughts, emotions, experiences or even their dreams and fantasies in a document. Yet such freedom to write sometimes doesn’t carry much relevance and quality. Many young people nowadays look up to literary works as those that can be found in the WattPad and other electronic, internet-based channels. However, preexisting with these trends are the weight of those which are phony and immaterial. Most stories focus on teenage relationships, premature copulation, some others have stories of defiance and treachery. Yes, literature is too numerous now that the said themes are already common. Moreover, most of these writings have been produced to pictures by big-time movie corporations in which it draws more young people to look after for and adore instead of producing educational, historical and inspirational films. They have been investing more in themes of tactlessness, imprudence and baloney. There is no problem in recording and crafting materials about how we feel and what we want to express. But do these conception of ideas provide an intention that can contribute to an organized and decent view of good examples and principles? Or does it create a more obscure and obscene criticism due to the lack of substance of the kind we are now influenced? Each individual has its own approach and style of literature. But we are also ought to compose not merely just to impress and excite our readers and make them thrill and in high spirits. It is also our responsibility to write according to the proper conduct, subject matter, theme and even the values that it will bring and affect its readers. The diversity of the literary works has really evolved side by side with the periods of innovation and development alongside with the progression of technology. It is important that we preserve the upright and virtuous motives instilled to us like the significant Literature we all have been introduced that gave rise to our heritage and culture, history and the cultivation of our society that represents our human race from the past populace upto the present. It is a challenge of the today’s people to be in charge of the genuine wealth and ethics that literature gave us despite the revisions and increasing contest of media and technology and let us not lose control of it until we can pass it on to the unborn generation. Let us not be tagged as the present citizens who killed the classic literature.

“LITERATURE IS ONE OF THE MOST INSTERESTING AND SIGNIFICANT EXPRESSIONS OF HUMANITY.”– P.T. Barnum
