Last year approximately 500 Humboldt State University students served almost 50,000 hours in the community through Academic Internships and Service Learning Courses. Academic Internships allow you to earn credit for the kind of learning that only internships can provide with 7-10 hours a week, or 90-120 hours a semester, of real experience. Service Learning courses bring together what you learn in class with real needs in the community as you serve 2-3 hours a week, or 30 hours a semester, with a local organization.
