July 28th 2018, TPCT’s College of Engineering, Osmanabad will be a buzz with the loud new voices, colorful faces and new footsteps. It gives
me immense pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to a new crop of young talents, who will begin their carrier as TERNAIT’s. On this
occasion I would like to tell my dear students that you have embark upon this new journey to forge an identity for yourselves . TPCT’s
College of Engineering will provide you the right infrastructure, right facilities, right technique and correct tips/tools to help you build the
pinnacle of your future. You will be both the designer as well as architect of your lives in the near years to come. May your days here as
students in particular productive students be spent in pursuit of knowledge and lead you towards a desired state of fulfillment. With vast
clean and eco-friendly campus sprawled over 50 acres of land with lush green gardens spread with flora-n-faun, healthy and hygienic,

College Rules and Regulation Management of TPCT’s College of Engineering is keen on Character Building for the Students, besides
providing opportunity for skill development and entrepreneurship programs in their chosen fields of
engineering. For students in their formative age, character building is essential and that they are given certain
norms to establish disciplined behavior in the class rooms, campus, and in society to keep high traditions of the
institute and to become proud (TERNAIT’s) graduates of TPCT’s College of Engineering, Osmanabad
Discipline It is expected from all students that they maintain highest order of discipline. Any kind of indiscipline
will be dealt severely.
Students shall obey all orders and instructions issued by the Principal/HoD/Faculty/Staff from time to
time.
Students not complying with any of the rules/regulation are liable to be penalized, suspended or
dismissed from the institute, depending on the depth of the offence.
Ragging & Eve – Teasing Ragging, Eve – Teasing and Smoking are totally prohibited in the campus. Any violation will result in
dismissal from the college and consequent legal action for this offence.
Ragging is prohibited within or outside of college campus.
General Rules Students are subject to rules of conduct and behavior framed by the authorities of the College.
College working hours: 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 1.20 pm to 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday. Except
under special conditions, late comers are not allowed to enter class without a note from HoD/Principal.
Without the lecturer's permission students are not permitted to leave class.
As per Dr. BATU Lonere and Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad regulations, 90% and 75% of attendance is
compulsory for first year (FE) and second year (SE) onwards respectively. However, 10% condonation
is permissible by Principal on medical grounds with proper documents. Otherwise, students cannot
appear for the University Examinations. Absence from class must be justified with the concerned subject
teachers and HoD. Absence for more than three days for reasons of health requires a medical certificate.
Producing a medical certificate however does not entitle a student to get attendance.
For any personnel or family work/function you should take prior permission from your faculty
counselor/mentor assigned to your group/class. Failure to this your request for attendance under
shortages will not be considered.
Internal Test is part of the continuous evaluation as per Dr. BATU Lonere and Dr. BAMU, Aurangabad.
Please check the marks displayed on the notice board by your subject teacher and bring any discrepancy
to the notice of the respective faculty/HoD immediately. Change is not possible later after the given due
date.
Participation in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities inside or outside the campus is not counted as
absence from class. However, attendance will be counted only when a copy of the participation
certificate or a note from the concerned teacher/counselor is produced immediately before the concerned
subject teacher and HoD or faculty authorized by the Principal.
It is necessary to score a minimum of 40% to pass in any subject in the semester examination including
internal and university exam. However, it is mandatory to score 35% in the university exam to clear
individual subject.
Two internal tests are conducted for B.Tech/M.Tech, average of the two are taken for assessment.
Absence in one such tests, even with medical certificate, cannot entitle a student to double marks in the
one test answered by them.
The institute takes note of serious misbehavior, insubordination, habitual tardiness, irregular work habits
or obscenity which is punishable with a fine, suspension or dismissal. The Institute is free from alcohol-
smoke-drug, and chewing of tobacco and offenders face dismissal.
The students are required to wear Identity Card on all college working days along with the College
Uniform. Failure to wear the college Identity card and uniform will be treated as misconduct and such
students will be barred from entering the class room and will be penalized Rs. 50/- per day.
The management is not responsible for the safety of valuables of students due to their negligence.
The students are warned they must follow all the safety regulations while conducting practical’s in the
laboratories and the management is not responsible for any physical damage or mishap that might occur
out of student’s negligence.
The Internal test marks and monthly attendance sent through SMS to their mobile and also are given in
person by the HoD to the parent/guardian during the parents meet. Complete details of the internal
assessment marks sheet of the other tests are normally sent by SMS/Post. Parents/guardians are requested
to carefully go through the marks and take steps to improve performance whenever necessary.
Student’s vehicles should be parked and locked in the allotted place only. However, the College is not
responsible for their safety if not followed the norms.
Students who do not live with their parents or in the College Hostel are required to inform the Office
Superintendent/Principal about the details of their place of residence.
No student is permitted to take part in agitations directed against the lawful authority of the Government.
Membership of clubs or associations outside the campus and participation in public movements is
undesirable. Students are not allowed to collect donation from the public for any purpose.
Use of cell phones in the class rooms and laboratories is banned until it is insisted for any specific study
purpose as per directions of the concerned faculty. Misuse of cell phone in class will encourage penalty
of Rs. 500/-.Mere possession of a cell phone during university examinations may result in losing the
exam.
College fees are to be paid within one week of reopening of semester classes. Failure to that a penalty of
Rs. 100/- will claimed. However, if the fees are not paid within four weeks after reopening, and
additional penalty of Rs. 2000/- will be payable. Tuition and other fees once paid cannot be refunded.
However, refund of deposit may be claimed.
Final year students i.e. B.E should clear all their fee dues i.e. from FE, SE, TE, and BE two months
before the university examination. Failure to this, such students will not be allowed to attend the Campus
Placement Drives and no documents will be issued.
Change of mobile number, temporary address, and permanent address must be notified to the College
office at regular intervals.
Those who wish to leave College for any reason will be given a TC only on payment of all fees payable
for the remaining semesters and clearing any other dues. Such students have to return any scholarship,
stipend or financial assistance given.
Students should maintain discipline and punctuality during all college activities such as seminars,
workshops, industrial visits, farewell party, fresher’s day, college day, and graduation day celebrations.
No student is allowed to stand in the corridors, main road, and near canteen during class hours. Failure to
follow this discipline the student will be expelled from the college.
