What is the College in High School (CHS) Program?
• Awards college credit for the successful completion of approved courses offered at participating high school
• Special SUNY reduced tuition rate• Students are SUNY Potsdam non-matriculated undergraduates• Students receive SUNY Potsdam transcript upon course
completion• Most credits can be transferred to other institutions, at the
discretion of the receiving institution

Admission Requirements:• Minimum of 80.0 grade point average in a Regents/College
preparatory curriculum• Completion of CHS Student Application• Copy of high school transcript
• $175 per class per student– Reduced tuition rate vs. $836.30– Includes College & Transcript Fees

High School:• Within first month of class,
any student interested in taking course for college credit (typically Jr or Sr with 80+ GPA) submits application to designated High School Designee
• Designee forwards all applications and student transcripts to Extended Education by October 1
NEW: Accepted CHS students will receive information and be
eligible to participate in a College and Career
Preparation Series provided by SUNY Potsdam’s Office of
Admissions and Experiential Education Office (In the works)

entered into system as adjunct faculty
• Courses are created and students enrolled
• Students receive confirmation letter acknowledging enrollment and including “P number” and instructions on obtaining transcript
• Invoice generated for total amount of enrollments and sent to High School Representative
High School:• High School collects
payments from students ($175 per class)
• Issues one check to SUNY Potsdam for total amount
