Common Sites for obtaining Blood:• Veins• Capillaries• Arteries – Less frequent site

• Immediate Local: Haemoconcentration, failure of blood to enter the syringe, continued bleeding
• Immediate General: Syncope
• Late Local: Thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, haematoma, abscess.
• Late General: AIDS/Viral Hepatitis
