If Assessment Lien has already been recorded, go to Step 5, below.
Delay may occur if Board does not meet or vote upon approval.
We send a Prelien Letter to the delinquent owner. †
2 We send form to Board for it to approve recording of Assessment Lien.† Time of approval determined by Board.
We send the Board a request to serve a Notice of Initiation of Foreclosure Letter on the delinquent owner.†
6 Approval of our sending this letter does not mean that the Board must, in fact, start the foreclosure process.
We send the Notice of Initiation of Foreclosure Letter to the delinquent owner. †
7 This letter must be personally served on the owner (i.e., delivered by a process server), unless the owner no longer occupies the property (in which case the letter may be mailed to the owner’s last known address.)
Board elects to proceed with foreclosure or court action.
8 We will provide the board guidance in determining which option should be pursued. Please see our Non-Judicial Foreclosure Flowchart and Court Actions Flowchart for more information on each process.
