About this session• We’re going to solve a design “problem” together

• We’re all going to participate• Sketching, sharing, collaborating

• Don’t worry about your design skills• This is about ideas and communication• It’s not about beautifully formed interfaces

Today’s challengeDesign a ‘Page not found’ (404-error) page for the University

What to think about• Who would encounter this?• What might they be doing when this happens?• How would they feel?• How could we help?

• Consider:• Appearance: design elements that reflect the University’s reputation• Functionality: what would help the website visitor?• Words: what we say and how we say it has a big impact on what happens next

Step 1 – sketching on your own• Sketch as many ideas for ‘Page not found’ 404 error pages as you can

• Use the 6 screen template
