Collaborative Advocacy in the Autism Community An Inclusive Framework for Social Change Parenting Autistic Children With Love & Acceptance The internet is an amazing tool/resource for connecting people..... it brought together this group of people that are passionate about the same things.... We have created collaborative advocacy projects through the use of social media platforms such as Twitter, Google Docs, Blogs, Facebook and more to create Parenting Autistic Children With Love & Acceptance. Using our platform, we collaborate with Autism Women's Network, Boycott Autism Speaks, The Autistic Self Advocacy Network, and other organizations involved in disability advocacy. PACLA is a site which is a huge part of that Amplification of Autistic Voices! What We Have Done .... Amplifying Autistic Voices We have joined advocacy efforts in flashblogs, twitter events, and using social media to protest injustice and to fight for the rights & dignity of Autistic people. PACLA has cr eated r esour ces to promote understanding, acceptance and that celebrate Autsitic pride and culture. Our annual holiday gift guide serves to promote Autistic artists, crafters, writers and business ow n er s. Parenting Autistic Children With Love & Acceptance Magazine was created as a guide to parents who embrace unconditional acceptance, who believe in gentle parenting and embrace the neurodiversity paradigm. Printable and downloadable information on our blog in both English & Spanish are free to use for anyone interested in autism acceptance. On the PACLA blog, we have created resources on keeping holidays safe & accessible for those interested in authentic inclusion. We have also created a guide to talk to your Autistic children about autism in ways that foster a sense of pride in their Autistic identities. We strive to keep our virtual spaces Autistic friendly and inclusive to all. Why We Have Done It ..... We acknowledge the expertise of lived experience, we embrace the beauty of the fringe and work hard to create a safe and inclusive space......
