Who we are and What we do

SINBEX, stands for Startups International Business Exchange, is a platform for startups, corporates, academia, communities and investors, with services and offerings to all parties and bringing all of them together

Every start-up that we identify or applies to us undergoes a rigorous evaluation process. The reasons are simple: statistically, only one start-up out of ten is successful.

We aim to find the “diamond(s) hidden in the mud”.

Our approach to achieve this is by aggressively filtering out opportunities that do not match our very strict selection criteria.

And of those that remain we try to improve the chances of success as much as possible by providing our support services.

Startup Selection Process

1. An initial fundamental analysis In this phase we look at the objectively measurable information on the company e.g. the existence of patents, contracts to suppliers, legal entity, ownership structure etc. The goal in this phase is to do a first rough sieve of business ideas that don’t have the proper level of maturity.

2. A second level expert evaluation: Our sector and due diligence specialists do an in-depth review the start-up. They consider soft factors such as business potential, complexity of the venture, the required effort, the exit appeal, the level of product innovation and the team potential.

3. The final competence centre evaluation: the final evaluation is done by the members of our top management and a selection of specialists best suited to understand the business at hand. These specialists often include legal experts, startupexperts, sector experts or project management experts. Together they discuss the potenial of the start-up and define how the Sinbex Network can best provide support.

Ways to invest

1. INVEST AS AN INDIVIDUAL OR ONLY VC FUNDShould a business proposition capture your imagination and you wish to invest, you can do so as an individual angel investor or a sole VC firm and we shall support you throughout the investment process. There is no minimum or maximum investment.

2. INVEST AS A GROUP OR “SYNDICATE’Depending on your confidence as an investor and the amount a company is looking to raise, it is not uncommon for multiple angel investors to agree between themselves to invest as a group. In this scenario, investors designate a 'lead angel' to be a point of contact for the syndicate

3. CO-INVEST WITH A FUND In a similar process to investing as a group, if a particular investment raise is beyond the scope of individual angels, we can reach out to an investment fund or VC to jointly invest in a venture with our angel investors
