● If the coin/banknote is certified from a trusted third party grading service and placed in a ‘slab’, we will give complete trust to the lot once the certification number and pictures have been verified.

● For certain (mostly ancient) coins we will ask for provenance. An old provenance will increase the market value of an item.

● Period counterfeits may be accepted for their numismatic or historical interest. It should be clearly stated in the title and description.

Authenticity / Certification Requirements

Buyers are more likely to bid on your lot if they know it is certified as being authentic. This is why we ask for certificates from trusted institutes if there is a doubt of the authenticity.

Coin photography tips:● Individual coins should be photographed without cardboard holders. Photography of slabs should

be complete and readable.● Please refrain from showing any prices, references to websites, phone numbers or addresses of

stores in the photos.● Pay attention to the lighting. If you don’t have a professional lighting setup, consider taking a clean

white sheet of paper to be used as a background and place it close to a window, in order to use daylight as the lighting source for your photos.

● Use the macro option on your camera, be sure the coin is in focus, and take the picture.

Public information

Tip: to avoid shadows appearing on the background:

take a glass sheet, place it on the white paper

background, and put the coin on it.
