Main  outcomes  

 

1. Strengthen   global   governance   capacity   to   formulate   and   implement   regional   and  national  food  security  measures  using  the  guiding  principles  of  the  right  to  food  and  basing   such   response   measures   on   the   Voluntary   Guidelines   for   the   Progressive  Realization  of  the  Right  to  Adequate  Food  in  the  Context  of  National  Food  Security.

3. Strengthen  FAO’s  response  capacity  to  support  developing  countries  in  implementing  the   right   to   food   and   good   governance   practices   in   food   security   policies   and  programs.  

 

• relevant  FAO  personnel  at  HQ  and  in  decentralized  offices  are  equipped  to  integrate  the  right  to  food  in  food  security,  nutrition  and  other  relevant  projects  

• normative   and   methodological   guidelines   to   integrate   right   to   food   and   good  governance   in   national   policy   formulation,   sector   planning   and   in   food   security  programs  and  projects  are  developed,  tested  and  implemented
