INTRODUCTION• Coherence is an important part of the

essay writing process.• Coherence refers to a certain

characteristic or aspect of writing. Literally, the word means ‘to stick together’.

• The purpose of coherence is to make the readers can easily understand the main points.

DEFINITION

• Coherence in writing is the "logical glue" that allows readers to move easily and clearly from one idea to the next.

• It means that the text is easy to read and understand because the text follows a certain kind of logical order and the organization of ideas is systematical and logical.

• Coherence is achieved when sentences and ideas are connected and flow together smoothly.

• An essay without coherence can inhibit a reader’s ability to understand the ideas and main points of the essay.

• Coherence allows the reader to move easily throughout the essay from one idea to the next, from one sentence to the next, and from one paragraph to the next.

Concept of coherence:If the text is coherent, the ideas are clearly put in a logical order and easy to follow. All

supporting ideas support one topic and idea

• If you've got a lot of money and especially if you think you can get a good job when you come back to China, studying for an MBA overseas could be a good idea. On the other hand, it might not be the wisest decision if your family has to make financial sacrifices to allow you to study overseas because many returning MBA's can't find good-paying positions in China.
