On September 18th, 2008, Cohen Mathias Brown entered the world at 7:31am, after putting up quite a fight.
He was an instant joy to hisparents with his charming expressions and delightfulgood looks.
This book documents his firstthree months as a human beingout and about in the world.
One last walk was all the encouragement that I needed to begin my big entrance.
And after 12 hours of labor, 3 hours of pushing, and a nice vacuum pump, appear I did.
Once they got done with all of the poking, prodding and testing, I thought it would be best if I just took a little nap.
My Daddy thought I was pretty cool. He is not in very many pictures because he is always the one taking them... he is pretty obsessed with capturing everything fun that I do.
My Mommy loves me, too. She just keeps telling me how cute that I am. I think it was love at first sight!
It seems like my parents have a lot of friends and family because so many people came to meet me.
This is me & my G-ma DeLong. (She says she's not ready to be a grandma, but I think she's great!)
And this is my Grandpa DeLong. I think his beard is pretty neat, but it tickles a little, too.
This is me with my Grandma and Grandpa Brown. I'm their first grandson!
And some of my uncles and aunts even came. Don't believe the look on Bethany's face-- I know she adores me, really.
After spending a few days in the hospital, it was time to go and see my new home. Our cool new neighbors made me a sign to make sure that everyone knew I was here.
My 1st bath at home--brr, this is cold! My favorite part of baths is cuddling afterward.
Look how cute I am! My Grandpa and Grandma Brown love talking to me.
There were so many people who were excited to meet me. I hope that I can remember all of their names!
My Uncle Cory and Aunt Vicky came to visit me when I was just over 1 week old. Aunt Vicky was getting ready to have my new cousin Reuben.
These are some of Daddy's favorite pictures--I was smiling at 2 weeks!
Mommy is so comfortable--I like listening to her heartbeat.
It was fun getting to know my parents in my first weeks--we slept, cuddled, took walks, and played a lot.
There are so many things to look at and to learn!
When I was 3 weeks old, my Grandpa and G-ma DeLong threw me a baby shower so that I could meet some more friends and family. I got to meet Great Grandpa Glenn and Lois, Uncle Ben, Great Uncle Ryan and Great Aunt Stacy, cousins Bryce and Paige, and our friend Janine.
This is a special picture--4 generations--Great Grandpa Glenn, G-ma, Mom, and me.
This is my birth announcement that my parents sent to all of their friends and family.
Here I am at 1 month--i already look older!
Here are some more pictures of me at 1 month. I was starting to enjoy being naked. Mom and Dad say that this is O.K....for now.
Daddy picked out this fun hat for me. Izzy likes it, too.
Here I am learning how to hold my head up--boy, it's heavy!
My parents think that I'm an over-achiever for laughing and smiling so early. I don't think this is too surprising, though--my mom laughed all the time while I was inside her.
After 2 months, I finally got to meet my parents' friend Mathias. I got my middle name from him!
All warm and cozy--2 months old today!
Here I am at my 1st parade--it was really cold, but Mommy and Daddy took turns keeping me warm.
My 1st Thanksgiving. It's easy to be thankful when you have such a cool family.
In December at my first Torok Christmas Party, Great Grandma Dorothy was so excited to meet me! I also met lots of other members of Daddy's family!
I have such fun cousins-- Zoe, Ainzley, Reuben, Annie, Joey, and Gracie.
Who are those handsome guys?
Almost 3 months old--I'm getting used to this bath idea, and I'm starting to get the hang of grabbing onto things.
Thanks for taking the time to learn about my first three months. I hope I see you again soon!
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." --Psalm 139:13-14a
