from the non-forested, non-arable, rugged stony scrub within the mining lease area.
Need of the project and its importance to the country and or the region
Extracted mineral will be used for various infrastructural projects going around the state of Uttar
Pradesh. Abundant resource is available and mining under careful manner from the non-forested and
non-arable stony waste lands is the most preferable and legally valid land use. Such mining projects
boost up the local as well as the economy of state because of rapid and cost effective infrastructural
development.
1.3 Demand supply gap
Sand Stone mining from the stony waste land is the most preferable and legally valid land use.
Current sand stone mining project is particularly for meeting the requirement of regional
infrastructural projects such as roads construction and as building material. The current demand is
45% as high as the current supply.
2.0 Export possibility
No there is no room for export.
Domestic / Export Markets
Domestic demands of sand stone are higher than what is made available today.
Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to project
Semi Mechanized mining will require 24 local heads to be employed.
3.0 Project description
3.1 Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any
The project involves sand stone extraction and it is not interlinked with any existing project.
3.2 Location of project
The mine lease area can be approached by following NH 76 from Allahabad city (Allahabad to Tikri)
up to Tikri. Following NH 76 turn towards North direction, following National Highway-76
(Chilbila-Rajapur) up to the mine lease. Manda road railway station is about 6.0 kms in South
direction away from project site. The nearest Airport is at Bamrauli Allahabad 63.0 km from the
project site in NW direction.

3.3 Details of alternate sites considered and the basis of selecting the proposed site, particularly
the environment considerations gone into should be highlighted
No other site is considered for the proposed mining.
3.4 Size or magnitude of operation
Total mineable reserve is 20240 m3 per year (50600 MT) of Building Stone (Gitti- Boulder)
Sand stone. The quantity of geological reserve is 687436 m3 which is much higher than what is
proposed to be extracted. The mine lease (ML) area is 2.024 Ha and lies in B2 category.
3.5 Raw material required along with estimated quantity, likely source, marketing area of final
product(s), mode of transport of raw material and finished product
No raw material is required during the operation.

3.7 Quantity of waste to be generated (liquid or solid) and scheme for their management /
disposal
Solid waste generation is expected from the mining procedure. 24 work personals including the works
man and the administrative staff are supposed to produce waste like guthka pouches, smoking litter,
and wrap papers etc. belonging to biodegradable category waste however; Environmental
Management Plan is also proposed to manage the solid waste.
3.7.1 Waste generation and disposal of waste
No significant waste is expected to be generated from the site.
3.7.2 Generation of waste water
There is no waste water generation during the process.

5.0 Planning Brief
Building Stone (Gitti- Boulder) Sand stone mining will be opencast and Semi-Mechanized. Two
diesel operated excavators (851 L&T) of 1 m3 capacity will be used to extract sand stone. Drillers and
mild blasting is an optional method for losing the stones from the quarry area. Local interested
resident workers (24) will be employed for the execution of the lease. Total mineable reserve is
20240 m3 per year (50600 MT) of Building Stone (Gitti- Boulder) Sand stone. The quantity of
geological reserve is 687436 m3 which is much higher than what is proposed to be extracted. The
mine lease (ML) area is 2.024 Ha and lies in B2 category.
5.1 Blasting
Mild Blasting may be required.
5.2 Greenbelt Development
Green cover will be provided all around the haulage road for which plantation of 100 saplings of
different plant species has been proposed each year to the possible extent.
6.0 Rehabilitation and resettlement (R & R) Plan Not Required
7.0 Project schedule and cost estimates
The environmental clearance is sought for the Capacity Enhancement of the mine of Building Stone
(Gitti- Boulder) Sand stone . The total project Cost is 30,00,000. Once the EC is granted the
mining will be done as per the guidelines.
