Co-education means the education of boys and girls in same institute.
Where was co-education
introduced?
• It was 1st introduced in
Switzerland.
• Now it’s popular in
America, Europe and
many other countries.
• Still many countries
don’t support it due to
different reasons.
Why some societies support co-education
The supporters of this system favor the system
mainly on two factors.
• Economical Factor• Sociological Factor
Economical Factor
• Available infrastructure could be sufficient.• No need to open separate universities on basis of
gender.• Good for under developed countries.
Sociological Factor
• Realistic way of training young people to take their places naturally in the wider community of men and women
• Trains young people to express their views openly.• Eliminates gender based discrimination.• Boys and girls gain social maturity through
valuable interactive play and shared learning in co-education.
Advantages of Co-Education
• It can enhance learning experience through different perspectives.
• spirit of co-operation and healthy competition boosts up.
• Both genders get equal opportunities of learning.

WHY Co-Education IS criticized?
Conservative people criticize the system of co-education.• According to them, this system is against our
traditions. • They fear that co-education will develop immoral
relationships between boys & girls.• They believe that this system will be spoil both
the boys & girls.
Why some coeducation school bounded?
• Strong argument is our religious restriction.60%
