The brief was to design a logo and a website for Codex Books. A York based book dealer, who has been working through eBay for the last few years, and are finally ready to launch their own website.

The logo has, in a traditional font, ‘CB’ which stands for Codex Books, as per request of

the client, which sits above an illustration of an opened book, beneith which is the name of the business. The logo is very clean modern, as the brief requested, a fresh taste on the book business.

The website has been created to sell books, it’s a small website with very few pages, a few which are shown above. I’ve designed the website to have a huge impactful landing page to captivate the viewers to the wesbite with a full screen image. It displays featured products, and links into the rest of the website. Whilst also offering a search bar

and social media links to any other online profiles Codex Books might have.

The shop pages show large tiled images with brief information, but can then be clicked to reveal a futher page that displays all the products information in full. They can then purchase the product, and go to the cart

page, which has been designed to link to the paypal system, as requested by the client.

There is then a contact page, to contact the owner to ask any questions or find any more information. They audience of the site is small enough to have a manual system.
