There will always be a main image on the album cover whether

it be illustrated or a photograph. However, Indie and Indie folk

usually have an abstract photo that mostly contains art work

rather than an pop album that would be stereotyped into having

a close up shot of the artist or band.

+ARTIST NAME

There will be the artists named displayed on the front of the

album cover, and occasionally on the actual disk. This is so the

consumer knows who and what they are buying. Though the

artist name usually is in a different and unique font to again

make it sound to an audience.

+ALBUM NAME

The album name is feature that will defiantly must be seen in

every album regardless of genre. It allows the consumer to

know what album it is of the artist they have/are purchasing. It’s

also important to have the album name seem to different to the

artist name. From analysis of indie folk they usually like to show

old looking fonts or fonts that will stand out and seem vintage

or different.
