Standards and Procedures
The end does not justify the means.
This code of ethics brochure is provided as a guide to our employees to
provide a written source and reminder of the company’s Code of Ethics.
The document is to help employees understand how these values apply
to their day‐to‐day activities; enabling them to adhere to these standards
anytime and anywhere they are representing the company.
These values are supported by every level of management and are at the
core of our values and company culture.
This information is also in booklet form and has been provided to every
employee at the time of hire. The Code of Ethics is also available on the
company’s intranet along with an interactive computer‐based compliance
training program.

Ethics Training Plan
The company’s ethics training program has been developed as a guide for employees to learn and understand
what is and is not acceptable behavior in regards to ethical issues. Great care has been taken to provide a means
for employees to submit a confidential complaint for any alleged ethical misconduct. These matters can be
reported toll‐free at 866‐211‐3222 or via the web at www.mycompaniesethics.org. Retaliation will not be
assessed against any employee that, in good faith, reports alleged violations.
A two hour ethics training is offered once a month on the 2nd Monday of each month. This training is mandatory
for new employees within 45 days of employment, and a refresher course is conducted annually for all
employees.
The training is designed to provide relevant laws and regulations and make employees aware of resources,
support systems, and personnel who can provide legal and ethical advice. After completion of this training, the
employee should be able to base their choices on knowledge, rather than on emotions.
The employee will also learn how to seek assistance from managers or other designated personnel to resolve
ethical problems; this will provide a clear understanding of how their actions define the company both internally
and externally. Dispel the notion that unethical behavior is justifiable by showing (1) stretching the boundaries is
unethical (2) even if no one notices, an unethical act is still unethical (3) unethical acts are never good for the
company and (4) the company and the employee may be held responsible for unethical behavior of its employees.
In the employee’s annual performance review, the employee will also be required to acknowledge that they have
read the company’s Code of Ethics and certify that they have attended the company’s Code of Ethics training.
The employee will also be reminded that when they abide by ethical standards, they may receive some type of
acknowledgement by means of public recognition, bonuses, raises, or some other means. On the other hand, if an
employee violates ethical standards, they must be reprimanded in some way, which range from a citation to being
terminated.
Act with integrity every day with everything we do.
Monitor, Audit, Report Misconduct, and Due Process
Monitor and Audits
Observing employees by the use of internal audits, surveys, and reporting systems will be used to assess
compliance with the company’s ethical code and standards.
An external audit and review of company activities may be used in developing compliance.
Methods to Report Violations
Violations of this Code of Ethics can be reported toll‐free at 866‐211‐3222 or via the web at
www.mycompaniesethics.org. Retaliation will not be assessed against any employee that in good faith reports
alleged violations.
Penalties for Violation
• Sanctions for violating this code range from cautions, warnings, reprimands, demotions, and pay penalties to
dismissal and criminal prosecution, depending on the severity of the infraction.
Rewards for Adhering to the Policy
• Pay raises, bonuses, and public recognition.
Structure of Due Process
Strict confidentiality will be maintained for any and all reports of known or suspected misconduct. Each
complaint will be reviewed and investigated within 24 hours of the filing.
If the complaint was proven valid, the appropriate company official will make a recommendation to management
on how to treat the infraction.
If necessary, as required by some types of conduct, the company may be required to report the infraction to a
government or regulatory agency.
Penalties will be assessed based on the severity of the infraction.
The employee will be notified in person of the decision and actions to be imposed. In addition, a written notice
will be provided, which must be signed by the employee acknowledging the violation.
An appeal may be submitted in writing within 24 hours; otherwise, the ruling will be deemed to be final.
If an appeal is submitted, the company will review the appeal and make a final determination as to innocence or
guilt of the employee.
Act with integrity every day with everything we do.

Review and Improvement Plan
The company’s Code of Ethics will be reviewed annually and
assessed for relevant material, compliance with laws and
regulations, and the ability to enforce violations.
Auditing and benchmarking will be conducted to assure
awareness and execution of the policy. Ongoing training
will also be performed to ensure employees receive proper
training on the policy. This will be accomplished through a
comprehensive audit, which is designed to assess the
current policy using a scorecard system to establish a means
for tracking improvements and using this data to perform
comparisons with peer companies.
Complaints and suggestions from all levels of the company
will be welcomed and these suggestions will be considered
for improving and changing this policy. Furthermore,
whistleblowing mechanisms and grievance channels must
remain open for the integrity of the policy and to seek
improvements to the policy.
