Ventilating The Face Area

Purpose of Ventilation

• Dilute, render harmless and carry off accumulations of dangerous gasses and dust from the mines.

• Supply fresh or uncontaminated air to persons working in the mine.

The Ventilation Current

• The Body of Air which is moved through a mine.

• Intake and Return

Ventilating Pressure

• Air, like any fluid body, will always move from a point of High Pressure to a point of Low Pressure.
