Please seek permission if you use names in your prayer intention. Recently I received an email from a friend in Kumbo Diocese, Cameroon. Despite the crisis of civil war, poverty and the spread of the coronavirus, she concluded her email with a prayer that we would 'stay safe and remain protected under the canopy of God's love'. Let us pray that God will also protect the people of Please pray for the repose of the soul of Father Michael Hickey who died this week. Father Michael was a loyal and loving man who was a teacher at Ushaw College in the 1960’s. He served many parishes during his life in the Diocese. Would everyone please remember Catherine Gartland in your prayers. Catherine is sick and her family have asked for our prayers. May the love and peace of Our Lord enfold the family with all the strength they need at this difficult time. Please pray for the Smith family. May God’s love and peace surround them at this time.
