Today, however, the importance of entrepreneurship education is even more critical as our local, regional, and global marketplaces face economic challenges and transitions. BIOINNO Entrepreneurship education is about creating and nurturing a learning environment that promotes entrepreneurial traits and behaviours, such as creative thinking, opportunity recognition, risk taking, strategic planning, problem-solving, and all types of communication and negotiation that are key to building new ventures. It is based on a revolutionary New Learning and Teaching Model TM designed to inspire and engage students and researchers in the fundamental aspects of an entrepreneurial mindset and the unlimited opportunities it can provide. T his conference features keynote speakers who will highlight the importance of entrepreneurship education and ways to enhance entrepreneurial teaching in Europe, as well as successful entrepreneurs in the biotech industry, who started locally, scaled their business and created a world class innovation-based enterprises. It will also shed light on the Bioentrepreneurship New Learning and Teaching Model TM developed by the project University-Business Alliance as a promising practice in bioinnovation and entrepreneurship teaching and learning across Europe. Furthermore, It will focus on the innovative approaches that can benefit industries and universities get towards their common goal. For industries to identify their future talent pipeline, and for universities to ensure that their graduates have the right combination of entrepreneurial attitudes, skills and knowledge that will enable them to enhance their employability, to be entrepreneurial in a range of settings including employment, and to ultimatley make effective contributions to the economy and society.
