All EHRT punching machines in the HolecutProfessional Line feature three CNC controlledaxes. They are designed for high loads in anindustrial operation. Extreme durability and unri-valled speed characterize the Professional line.

How it WorksProgram the work piece by entering the lengthof the bar of raw material and the computerautomatically calculates the maximum numberof pieces to be punched (for example 18 piecesof a bar of 6000 mm). Once the desired num-ber of work pieces is entered, the bar is pushedtoward the stop. The machine is fully automa-ted once the production process is launched.

All pieces are sent down a slat conveyor andare pushed sideways onto a table. Any scrap iscarried to the end of the conveyor and droppedinto a bin. The machine continues to run in thismanner until a new work piece is programmedor selected. Just merely insert new material.Different work pieces can be produced withinone work cycle to optimize production.

Work PiecesThe EHRT Holecut Professional Line punchingmachines rapidly processes flat profile bars upto 16 mm thick and 200 mm wide with an opti-on up to 260 mm wide.

ClampingThe work piece is clamped laterally by anexchangeable transport gripper. The gripperpulls it through the machine along the x-axis inorder to avoid damaging the work piece. Inaddition, the work piece is clamped sidewaysoutside the punching area with each punchingstroke which also allows the punching ofslightly deformed material.

Punching AreaThe great advantage of lateral clamping is thatpress cuts are allowed throughout the wholework piece including the border. This elimina-tes the restrictions of traditional clamping jaws.

Tool Change SystemThe linear tool carrier (y-axis) has six stationsthat hold five punching tools and one cuttingtool. All EHRT punching machines are equip-ped with a special plug-in system for a quickand easy change of tools. There is no need toscrew anything together. The punch and dieplate are adjusted to each other automatically.Punches and dies can be changed rapidlymeaning less machine downtime.

PrinterA printer can be installed to print bar codes oneither labels or on the work pieces directly.

Continuous DevelopmentDuring the development of our latest line ofpunching machines, customer requests andsuggestions have been implemented. We alsoplaced a great importance on optimizing ergo-nomics.

NetworkingNetworking with other EHRT machines andexternal workstations is supported. When net-working with one of the EHRT bending machi-nes, the bending axes are also visible and avai-lable for reference.

CuttingThe machine features a cutting program to sepa-rate the work pieces after punching by usingnibbling technology. If work pieces are to be pun-ched without cutting, this option can be disabled.

Program StorageThe program for each work piece can be storedas alphanumeric names up to 24 digits. Up to200.00 parts can be stored which can be locatedeasily by using the search and sort options.

Easy HandlingThe Microsoft Windows® based softwarePowerCut is very easy to learn. CNC program-ming skills are not required. All the punches in awork piece are shown on the screen making pro-gramming mistakes easily detected. When selec-ting a new piece, all the necessary toolingchanges are displayed. Software training is mini-mized by the menu-driven software. Operatorscan soon program work pieces by themselves.PowerCut scans each program for possible colli-sions before transferring it to the control unit. Thiseliminates most handling errors. The software canbe used in millimetres or inches.
