• CMPC is a platform designed for youth with age 6 – 15 years old.

• Younger student in primary school (age 6-11) are more likely drop PCs than older students.

• The average height of the CMPC to the ground carried by a 11 year old will normally be less than 50cm*.

• Hawk Peak shall pass concrete dropping test of at least 50cm**.

• In case of Hawk Peak system drop from a table, the drop distance can be higher if performed on carpet or wooden floor.

Microsoft has announced the extended availability of Windows XP Home for ultra low-cost PCs. They are offering extended availability for platforms with the following attributes:

– The system has a maximum built in display of 10.2 inches

– The system has a maximum built in flash drive as main storage of 16 GB and/or a hard drive with the maximum storage of 80 GB;

– The system has maximum of 1.0 GB of RAM;

– The system has a maximum of 1.0GHz single core CPU; or Intel Atom N270

– Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) with a maximum of DirectX 9.0capability;
