The heavens declare the glory ofGod; the skies proclaim the work

of his hands (Psalms 19:1, NIV).

THANK YOUMy granddaughter, Victoria, was at

    OU Childrens Hospital going

through chemo and we met a CMA

group there. They gave me a Bible

and prayed with me. That meant a

lot to me. No matter how hard we

    prayed the Lord wanted Victoria

    home; she passed away September

6, 2012. I just want to let you know

how much you touched my life.

What you are doing is great. God

    bless you all.

who are lost, or misplaced. I live in a

very rural area and the only nour

PRAYER WORKSDo not let anyone tell you that prayer

does not work. I am here to proclaim

that prayer is alive and well! My 10

    year old grandson, Tyler, was

involved in an ATV accident January

    19. The Polaris utility vehicle fell

over on his ankle and drug him sev

eral feet on concrete. The right ankle

    suffered massive damage and trau

    ma. Tyler received medical attention

    quickly. The surgeon stated that

there was a possibility that Tyler

could lose the ankle. Immediately we

sent out requests for prayer for

Tyler. The social media is a great tool

when used the right way. There were

many prayers being lifted up for

Tyler that night; many in CMA were

praying, as was our church and fami

ly. The decision was made that it

would be possible to save the ankle

and foot. The ankle was fractured in

five places. A skin graft was per

formed on the ankle area and heel.

The first two to three weeks was

pretty touch and go. Then Tyler took

on a healing climb and he has been

doing that ever since. The doctors at

this time are perplexed as he has

    healed far beyond their expectations.

    They have been scratching their

heads wondering what to do next.

We know why they are perplexed.

Our Lord is in the healing business!

This has made an impression on

Tyler as he calls his grandma to pray

with him daily. Tyler has figured out

the power of prayer. I want to thank

all those who have prayed for Tyler.

His journey is not over. It will be sev

eral months before he will have use

of the foot, but he has come so far in

a short period of time. Praise be to

our Lord!!! Keep praying for Tyler.

    Thank you.

And Jesus came andspake unto them, saying, All power is givenunto me in heaven and inearth. Go ye therefore, andteach all nations, baptizingthem in the name of theFather, and of the Son, andof the Holy Ghost: Teachingthem to observe all thingswhatsoever I have com-manded you: and, lo, I amwith you always, even untothe end of the world(Matthew 28:1820, KJV).

From its very beginning, the min

istry of CMA has been working to

fulfill the great commission. We rec

ognize that no one person or organi

zation can change the world alone.

That was not Christs message, nor

was it His intent. When you get

    involved in the ministry of CMA;

    physically or financially, you join

with not only CMA, but several other

    ministries who, working within the

    evangelistic efforts of Christians

around the globe, are actually fulfill

    ing Matthew 28:1820.

When I look back and think about

what God has done through the min

istry of CMA, I can only say, Look

what God has done! We recently

    introduced a new brochure high

    lighting the accomplishments of the

ministry over the last ten years, and

they are many. Let me say right here

that no one, other than God Himself,

deserves the praise or the credit for

the results we have seen. However,

it is important to note that God has

chosen to do these things through

the ministry of CMA. God expects us

to acknowledge the things He does

    and rejoice. (Luke 15:810)

In Romans 10, Paul asks the ques

tion; And how shall they preach

    unless they are sent?

One of the ways God has sent us

to accomplish so much for Him is

    through our partner ministries: The

    JESUS Film Project, Missionary

Ventures, and Open Doors. Just as

we recognize the value of these

    partnerships, our ministry partners

recognize it also and from time to

time they want to say thank you to

    you, the members of CMA.

    Recently Open Doors did just

that. Although they could have pre

    sented CMA with something beauti

    ful for the new MultiPurpose

Building, or one of the other build

ings, they decided to give a gift

    capable of producing eternal results

    by sending us.

Open Doors chose to invest in the

ministry and in turn allow us to

invest in the Kingdom! In other

words, Open Doors said thank you

to the membership of CMA by

enabling us to share the Gospel

    around the world.

They said thank you, we proclaim

    the Gospel, someone (guaranteed)

will accept Jesus and the angels will

    rejoice! And we do too!

Thank you Open Doors for giving

us a gift that will, in turn, give many

people the gift of eternal life. CMA

    CMA Australia:National Overview

    The members of CMA in

    Australia have, on the whole,

    always considered themselves

to be CMA Australia, even though all

our activities, apart from our annual

National Run (Rally), are at a state

level. Two years ago at our National

Run, the state leaders, our interna

tional reps and I agreed, after many

    years of discussion, to officially

become CMA Australia and to join

with CMA International. On the sur

face nothing changed and the states

    continued to operate autonomously

and all having slightly different meth

    ods, ministries, and activities.

However, I believe this move has

    begun to have effects throughout

    Australia. More members are doing

    the Spiritual Growth and Ministry

    Training programs. Last year we

agreed on a national logo for the front

of the vest, to be worn in conjunction

with the small CMA logo. Since CMA

commenced in Australia in 1979, five

out of six of the participating states

have used a variation of the original

logo from New South Wales 34 years

ago. Now all states will have the same

front logo; a small step, but a big state

    ment, in my opinion.

We have formed a closer bond with

    CMA USA through our association

with Kerry Gibson who has blessed us

with his presence and his teaching at

    our last two National Runs.

I am pleased to see a general shift

    in individual members and states

    thinking towards more evangelistic

approaches to their rides and meet

ings. Last year we fielded a tent at the

Ulysses AGM, which is a gathering

once a year (for a week) of 4,000 plus

riders. We were able to connect with a

lot of nonChristian riders and chat

with them over a cuppa (tea or coffee)

and also to encourage Christians who

    attend these gatherings each year.

Following is a rundown by each

state leader of their state for 2012.

New South Wales (NSW): Ian DoddWhat a year! 2012 saw CMA New

    South Wales becoming more cohesive,

more focused, and more purpose driv

en. Our key achievement for the year

was the establishment of focus groups

to drive areas such as: attendance at

    rallies, visibility (including merchan

    dise), pastoral care, fellowship week

    ends, and local ride calendars.

CMA NSW continues to grow in

rural areas with the Hunter region of

Australia now up and running with

regular rides getting over a dozen

attendees and the Taree region com

ing back to life as well. Communion

on the Cliff continues to provide a

    regular focus for publicly demonstrat

ing our allegiance to Christ and His

teachings in front of a varied crowd of

    motorcyclists, tourists, and glider

    junkies. Fellowship weekends where

we ride out into the country to meet

our brothers and sisters from around

the state continue to prove popular

and rewarding, both for CMA and the

church we bless. Uptake of the CMA

    International training has been slow,

primarily due to the tyranny of dis

    tance preventing regular encourage

    ment and group training.

South Australia (SA): Derek SayerCMA South Australia had a busy

2012. We hosted and organized a very

    successful motorcycle rally in part

nership with the Pilgrims CMC. The

local council vetoed the site we chose,

but God is amazing, and another,

    much better site eventuated through

    one of the committees contacts.

    There was positive feedback from

    nonChristian riders and clubies on

various web sites about the rally. We

try to have at least two members at

every SA rally on the calendar as we

feel that our mission is to be there,

chatting and swapping yarns, and one

day, being able to share the Gospel,

    one on one.

In March, six of our members rode

to Mildura and set up and manned a

CMA tent at the Ulysses AGM. Ten

    members gave considerable time to

the SA MRA Toy Run as marshals, set

ting up the site, and breakdown after

wards. We have two rides per month.

In February, one of our members was

killed on a CMA ride; that was a bad

day for all, not the least his family. It is

believed the cause was a heart attack.

We have had two more crashes on

    CMA rides; therefore, the committee

    has spent many hours restructuring

and assessing risk. We now have a

booklet where riders must give us

next of kin phone and address. We

    hold a preride briefing encouraging

riders to ride at a moderate pace,

leave a gap, and have riders wear day

glo vests fore and aft to shepherd our

    group.

Victoria: Greg GristThis year in Victoria the focus has

been on getting out in community:

being visible at various events and

trying to reach younger riders. A few

    extra members have eventuated from

these two actions. Monthly rides in

    each region have continued.

    Committee meetings, open to all,

occur every two months at a central

location. Social gathering on the in

    between month have been initiated

    recently.

Queensland: Chris PilgrimEach chapter in Queensland has a

small core of dedicated people. There

has been good growth in Bundaberg

    region. Activities include halfway

meets and a fellowship weekend at a

    church. We have a visible

    presence/participation in secular

    (continue on page 10)

  • 2012 was a blessed year for CMA Belgium. We start

ed the year with a party and ate traditional Belgian

stew with French fries. For those who know

Belgium, you know that we have a great culinary culture

so it shouldnt be a surprise to you that at almost every

event or rideout we joined, it has been combined with a

    meal. But it wasnt only the meal that made it so special;

it was also because we all prayed, one by one, the same

    prayer of David.

    Search me, God and know my heart;

test me and know my anxious thoughts.

See if there is any offensive way in me,

and lead me in the way everlasting

    (Psalm 139:2324, NIV).

We wanted to start the year humbly, realizing at all

times that He would have to lead us! And He did! Let me

list a few things we did in 2012:

We attended eight secular rallies, had a hamburger

stand at a biker concert, had an evangelistic stand at a

Christmas market, helped out with a Baptist children

camp (this was great since we invited a lot of non

Christian bikers too), helped another Christian organi

zation that works with blind people, had a club visit, had

two very blessed weekends (with guests), attended the

legendary Elefantentreffen (Elephant Rally), and had

our first biker church service. We translated our website

and brochures and were able to contact the French

speaking part of our country. We visited five churches,

    where we could talk about

    our ministry and ask for

    their support. We were

    also able to restore con

    tacts with other Christian

    biker organizations, which

    was noticed by the secular

    biker world in our country.

    We were very blessed with

    two baptisms and someone

coming to salvation. Furthermore, we made a lot of good

contacts and friendships with secular bikers.

Im sure that for some bigger countries and chapters

this may seem small, but we are very happy with what

God allowed us to do for His Kingdom this year. Keeping

in mind that we are only a group of 10, this means that

the growth was about 25%. Looking that way, we were

    really blessed.

We wonder what 2013 will bring. We would like to

see bikers give their lives to Jesus, we would like to

increase our membership (support and active mem

bers), we would like to have a breakthrough in Wallonia

(the French speaking part of Belgium) and, of course, we

hope to have lots of nice rides. But most of all, we would

like to do what He wants us to do and to go where He

wants us to go, like King Solomon.

Unless the Lord builds the house,

They labour in vain who build it

    (Psalm 127:1, NKJV).

Feel free to follow us through different social media,

you can find all links on our website www.cmabelgium.org.

(Theres even a short film on YouTube with an overview

    of 2012).

Since 1956, the famed Elefantentreffen or ElephantRally has been a winter motorcycling event designed totest man and machine. Since 1989 it has taken place inthe Bavarian forest, near the Czech border, where snowis guaranteed. Each year thousands of riders from allover Europe brave snow covered roads on some of themost highly modified two or three wheeled con-veyances known to man such as vintage bikes withdriven sidecars and spiked-tired Ninjas to campout andparty among the snowdrifts in sub-zero temperatures. What a place to minister! Well done, CMA Belgium.

  • One year slipped by and as I look

back I see so many things that

God did in our lives, so many

doors He opened for us, and so many

blessings He gave us and our friends.

In 2012, we continued to build up

    good relationships with the major

clubs in Bulgaria and became good

friends with some of their presidents.

One of them once told me: Our club

    has decided to get

    involved in more

    activities together

    with you. We are

    surrounded by

    evil powers. We

    already have

    enough of them.

    But you are the

    bearers of light,

    bearers of the

    good and we want

    you to be around

more often. I knew it was not that we

were that good, but it was the Spirit of

    the Lord working through us.

Many of our friends love to ride

with us because at such times they do

not feel the pressure to play bad or

pretend to be something they are not.

That is because we know who we

were and who God made us to be. We

know that God loves us just as we are.

Friends riding with us can feel that.

They can see the love of the Lord

through us. Bikers talk a lot about

brotherhood, but dont get to see it

that often in their lives. Spending time

with CMAers they can tell the differ

    ence. This is our

    most powerful tool

    for bringing them

    to Jesus.

    In 2012, seven

    more people joined

    CMA Bulgaria, and

    now we have 13

    members with

    three others on the

    way. We have one

    main chapter in

    Sofia, the capital of

Bulgaria, and have just started anoth

er one in southwest Bulgaria, in the

town of Petrich. We already had our

    first CMA Bulgaria National Meeting

where we enjoyed time with our fam

    ilies and friends bringing them

    onboard for our ministry.

2012 was a blessed year for us as

we managed to print Biker Bibles in

    Bulgarian. The project was fully

    financed, supported, and organized by

the members of CMA Bulgaria. We

believe that the best thing to give to

our nonChristian biker friends is the

Word of God that could change their

lives. Every copy of the Bible that we

give away goes with a prayer for pow

erful impact in the life of the biker get

    ting it.

Being the first biker ministry in

Bulgaria, CMA is not known in church

es here. This year before the opening

of the riding season we started visit

ing the major churches to introduce

our ministry. Our goal is to ask for

prayer support for us and for what we

do, to encourage people to welcome

bikers that might enter their churches

(even if they look like the bad guys)

and also to encourage people to join

the ministry if they feel God calling

    them to do so.

We pray for wisdom and courage

to use the opportunities that God is

setting before us. We pray for friends

that ride with us, that God would

touch their hearts and change their

lives. As we already see what God is

doing in our lives, we know that all we

need to do is answer the call of Jesus

    to follow Him. CMA

    CMA Bulgaria

Danny Georgiev serves as president of CMA Bulgaria.

Seven new members joined CMA Bulgaria in 2012.

  • How do you know what your life will be like tomor

row? Your life is like the morning fogits here a lit

tle while then its gone (James 4:14, NLT).

This verse in James puts our individual lives into per

spective. One thing for certain, is youre going to have to

serve somebody, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord.

The choice is something you do have control over. In our

lives there are many uncertainties, one of them being how

long we will live on earth, but God sees the beginning and

    the end.

As I reflected on last year, considering Gods perspec

tive, I pictured a puzzle with countless pieces, too many

for us to grasp, but God has a picture that He has designed.

We all have a specific role in that picture. Through obedi

ence and faith in Him, we get involved and become part of

    the masterpiece.

Last year, CMA members in Canada participated in 360

events across the country that were reported to the CMA

National/International Support Center. I believe that by

the willingness of our members, we were part in at least

360 pieces of the puzzle that God is putting together.

Although, we might not see the result of what the impact

was immediately, the important thing is that Christian

bikers were obedient to go and do their part.

We have much work to do here in Canada. We are see

ing slow but steady progress with making inroads

through motocross events with the younger generation.

Throughout the years, we have earned a good reputation

in the biking community; however, we must push forward

to reach a society that continues to spiral downhill. As we

do this, we need to be careful that we do not allow the

compromises of the world into our lives by reminding and

encouraging one another that we first are fully devoted

followers of Jesus. He is our sovereign Lord. We are privi

leged to give Him every area of our lives, with the result

being a life fashioned after the disciples of old that start

ed to turn the world right side up.

God is a team player. He wants us to be on the same

team with Him. When we join His team, we are no longer

just fans but players, joining with CMA International and

touching the world for His glory. Someday when we grad

uate into His presence we will see the whole puzzle that

God orchestrated and we will know that He enabled us to

be part of it. We will then lay our crowns at His feet,

because He alone is worthy! CMA

    By CHRISTIAN Plath

    CMA Germany celebrated its 10th

    anniversary in September 2012

    at our annual National Run.

Every day throughout the past 10

years, directly at the front line of evan

    gelism among bikers, we experienced

the hand of God upon us and the love of

our Lord Jesus being poured out. We

were very busy and diligent to reach

out to bikers and simultaneously build

    up strong and lasting organizational

    structures within CMA Germany.

Last year CMA Germany was suc

    cessfully registered as nonprofit

    organization with full legal compli

ance. For many years we have out

    sourced our bookkeeping and report

ing to financial authorities at a profes

sional tax advisory firm. By delegating

    these essential

    tasks to external

    professionals, we

    have more time

    and freedom to

    do what we are

called for, chang-ing the world, oneheart at a time.

    Last year, we

    changed the

    internal organization of CMA

Germany. After eight years at the

    helm, our National President, Dietmar

Koch, handed over this position to

    HansJrgen Neuschfer. Also we

    nominated new chapter presidents

and appointed a treasurer for CMA

    Germany who is a

    professional

    banker and there

    fore best quali

    fied. CMA

    Germany has also

    registered the

    CMA patch and

    image logos as

    CMA

    International

requested. We are now able to extend

this trademark umbrella to all other

CMA countries in Europe. This is pos

sible due to the homogenous legal

governance of the European Union by

    including all its

    member coun

    tries.

    CMA Germany

    was honored

    when CMA

    International

    asked us to host

    the European

    CMA Conference

    in March 2012.

We counted over 130 bikers from 18

nations. The leading biker magazine in

Germany, Bikers News, wrote an arti

cle about this event. The location of

this event was the rural village of

    Dodenau in the middle between

Kassel and Marburg. The small popu

    lation of this vil

    lage normally

    only sees bikers

    flying by on their

    machines

    because of the

    perfect curves

    and landscape.

    Hardly any biker

    would ever stop

    there because

after gearing down, the village has

already passed by. We were so happy

    to welcome approximately 30 mem

bers from CMA Portugal who really

shivered in the German cold winter.

    CMA Germany attends several very

large biker rallies with 10,000 to

30,000 attendees. At these rallies, we

are an integral part and active by offer

ing church services, a prayer tent, and a

Bible tent. Besides the big and small

rallies, we are very active to maintain

and expand our good relationships to

all kinds of biker groups and especially

    the motorcycle clubs (MCs). These

    relationships are being managed by

our local chapters. The following short

    reports are messages and testimonies

from some of our local chapters.

Detlev Oster, Chapter PresidentLight and SaltDear Brethren,

Jesus Christ reminds us that we are

supposed to be light and salt (Matthew

5:13). We at least try to be light and

salt by allowing His Holy Spirit to show

us Gods direction. If we actually

turned into Gods direction we will be

shown in form of our fear of God which

    should be recognizable by others.

Gifts and tasks are quite diversified

in our chapter. Here are some exam

    ples:

events, including a tent at Laverda

Concourse (bike show), a tent at the

Easter Festival in Brisbane, and a tent

    at the upcoming Ulysses event.

Western Australia: Colin KleinigIn October, ten riders and seven

    flyers from Western Australia trav

    elled some 4,000kms across Australia

for the National Run in Tasmania. We

    supported the Ulysses Christmas Ride

    by assisting in marshaling, judging,

and supplying an information tent. We

also participated in a church run to

    Narrogin, a small country community,

where we met with the locals. More

    church runs to small community

churches are planned. We held coffee

rides and once a month day rides. We

had an end of the year wrap up picnic

with members and families, and as

    always, we continued to investigate

ways to become involved with more

    other bike clubs.

Tasmania: Phil ParsonsIn Tasmania, six people have con

    cluded the Spiritual Growth Course

    (for back patch qualification) and

another six are halfway through. Our

coffee and chat meets continue on

Sunday afternoons. A new chapter has

opened in South of Tasmania. Our

state retreat was a time of prayer and

    discussion about new direction and

    the way forward. CMA

  • Ayear has passed, many steps have been taken,

many commitments have been made, many doors

were opened wide, some declined and many still

unexplored. There is still a lot of work in front of us. God

gives peace, joy, and gratitude. Unless He is our guide, we

    will work in vain.

We had a year of growth within the team. There were

no new members, but we are trying to improve our work

in the ministry, to bear more fruit. We are covering

almost all the major Italian motorcycle events, but we

also need to be present at the small events. We need to

learn to be more efficient and have more direct contact

    with people.

    In

    January,

    we went

    to the

    Moto

Bike Expo in Verona, where in three days, we were able

to distribute 6,000 biker Bibles in Italian. In March, we

were in Germany for the first CMA Europe Conference.

In July, we had our 5 National Moto Meeting, with a spe

cial appearance by two couples from South Africa; Rene

& Delene Changuion and Werner & Lynette Serfontein.

Also, Danail & Yanita Georgiev, and two of their friends

from Bulgaria came. Then we went to one of the largest

rallies in the north of Italy; the Bikerfest, and then

    FaakerSee in Austria.

We are dealing with some difficulties, there is much to

tell and much prayer needed. We have fewer people

attending the events (sometimes its just me) and I no

longer have a job. But, as a family and team, we perceive

the blessings of the Lord and we are not lacking anything.

We have much work to do; but we have put it all into the

hands of the Lord. We live and we want to place our

    selves under His guidance. CMA

    International Article

We are not a very big chapter,

but we try to use our

    resources as much as we

can. From experience, we can say that

all bikers can be put in many lists (bike

types, activity level in moto group,

mechanic skills and so on). We under

stand that we cannot work with all

groups so we try to focus more on a

group where we mostly feel our inter

est. We try not just to be other event

attendees, but also to organize our own

bike activities and invite everyone who

would like to ride with us.

On a weekly basis, on Wednesday

nights, we ride as a group together to

see new places around our city. We

have also organized our big event that

    many bikers attend. Some weekends

we try to go to other biker events. After

our events, we put photos on the

Internet and we know that many watch

    that.

Last summer we did our first long

distance bike trip, with three bikes and

three riders. For 20 years now in

Europe, there are yearly events for

Christian bikers. Each year they are

held in different countries. Last year it

was Germany. We had an opportunity

to ride along German mountains. That

    was great experience, because in

Latvia, our land is flat and we dont

have any mountains. To get to

Germany it took two days of riding. On

our way back we rode 1000km (620

miles) in one day. That was a good long

ride experience and we hope each year

    to take longer trips.

We are a small country (less than 2

    million inhabitants) and a person

about 30 in Latvia knows three lan

    guages: Latvian, Russian, and English.

Because of language skills, we have

very good contacts with Christian bik

ers in countries near us. It is great to

know that if you plan to travel to other

countries there are local persons who

can help. For several years there were

    events in different countries

    (Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, and

    Ukraine) where Christian Russian

speaking bikers came together and had

fellowship. By this contact list, we

believe we can encourage one another

    in our ministries.

    Probably all CMA members hear

leadership saying that this ministry is

located not just locally, but internation

ally. But, how does it sound in real life?

Last September, I needed to be in

Tampa, Florida and my wish was not

only to travel around but also to meet

local CMA people. From the chapter list

on the website, I found that there is a

    Tampa CMA chapter, Covenant Riders.

I contacted the chapter leadership and

there was possibility not just to meet

people, but also to make good friend

ships and see and partake in chapter

    activities. That was great.

Maybe one day some other CMA

chapters from the world will send you

emails that they plan to be in your area

and you can help them. I hope you will

respond positively and do your best.

With the Internet and Facebook it

looks that the world has become much

smaller than before. Lots of people can

    communicate better and see other

activities. Please visit and Like our

    site: www.facebook.com/CMALatvia

and we hope that we can support one

    another.

May God bless your personal and

    ministry life. CMA

When God sent us to go and

    love the lost ones its

    because He has set the

hearts. It is wonderful to see when we

get to love and show Jesus infinite

love, and the new hope of life. This is

possible because God has prepared the

road, this road as well as our route. He

has prepared the land, He has watered

the plow since the beginning. This has

been made possible because of the

truth in His promises in order to get to

    know Him.

You and I must be one of the seven

ty that God sent in pairs, like Luke is

letting us know. After this the Lord

    appointed seventy others and sent

them two by two ahead of him to every

town and place where he was about to

go. He told them, The harvest is plen

tiful, but the workers are few. Ask the

Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send

out workers into his harvest field.

Go! I am sending you out like lambs

    among wolves (Luke 10:13, NIV).

Some of the wonderful things God

did at the last few rallies was to see

how God would take me by His hand to

the lost ones and witness the grain and

the need of Jesus in their lives. We feel

    how the motorcycle community has

recognized the colors of the Lord, how

it searches in the noise and multitudes

the people who are to change their

lives through us, identifying our place

and the beautiful work we are called to

    do.

Knowing that we are part of the 70

chosen by the Lord to go, its wonder

ful, when Jesus said : The harvest is

plentiful but the workers are few, He

had His eyes and heartbeat on us. In

CMA Mexico, we are ready and com

mitted to serve God knowing that for

every biker who hears the Word of God

a heart will be transformed. We pray to

the God of the grain that He sends

workers like you and me, willing to

serve, willing to speak, willing to pay

the price, but most of all willing to love.

We know that you and I will be

rewarded for being part of those cho

sen and obedient 70, that we have

cried out to the Lord of grain so we can

go. Maybe it is now when there are not

enough workers, but the Lord sent us

as part of the existing workers to carry

the only hope of eternal life.

I thank God for you being part of this

ministry (CMA) and thank you for

knowing that the One who listens to

me listens to you. I thank you because

you are always listening to me through

    CMA.

  • At our spring weekend, we cele

brated 15 years of CMA in the

    Netherlands with a beautifully

decorated cake and a lot of small cute

    cupcakes. We want

    to thank the Lord

    for all the years and

    where He has

    brought us to today.

    Our history starts

    in 1982 with a local

    Dutch Christian

    motorcycle club. I

    joined this club in

    1984 as a Christian.

As one that rode a bike and was raised

by good Christian parents, I was a bit

    unfamiliar with the motorcycling world

at the time (that goes for the rest of the

members also). We went out as a club

into the towns and villages to reach the

people on the street with the Gospel

(nothing wrong with that), but slowly

we changed our sights and started out

    reach to the motorcycling world.

In 1998, we went through a major

change; we stopped the old work on the

streets and focused completely on the

    motorcycling world, together with

another Christian club that formed later

on. Then both clubs merged and joined

CMA International and became part of a

bigger family that shared one vision of

changing the world, one heart at a time.In the years following, we've known

battles and blessings. We've increased in

    numbers and lost members. We've

expanded our mission field and devel

oped several tools to support the way

    we do outreach.

We are blessed with two members

who took it upon themselves to develop

a Goodies Department and stand, which

supplies our members and general pub

lic with good quality stuff. The stand is

also used as a central meeting point at

various bike shows. When the men

    started off designing patches, they

bought a small second hand embroider

ing machine to get going with and with

in a year the machine was paid for and

they went onto a good second hand

    professional machine, which also

turned well. At the end of this year,

    both men wanted

    to take a step back

    from this very

    demanding work

    (which they

    deserve), and so

    then we had the

    challenge of find

    ing replacements

    for this work to

carry on or looking at going in a differ

ent direction that we have yet to dis

    cover.

Somewhere in the early years, we

produced a Dutch biker Bible called

Highway to Heaven and today we're

issuing the 3rd print. In 2012, we trans

lated and printed the first batch of the

    CMA workbooks which are currently

being worked through by members in

    the chapter meet

    ings, and new mem

    bers have to work

    through this materi

    al before they can

    become members of

    CMA the

    Netherlands.

    Through the

    years, we explored

more and more of this mission field and

    the diverse motorcycling cultures and

on this journey we have ended up in

jails at times. Not because the Dutch

laws don't agree with spreading the

Gospel, but because God opened the

doors to reach inmates stuck behind

    prison walls.

We have had good impact in reaching

parts of the motorcycling world; howev

er, the Fast Lane, touring, and offroad

scenes are difficult for us to reach as this

group are more focused on their thing

(riding or racing) and have little time for

socializing. Their events are large ride

outs or a day on a racetrack, not like at a

party where they can have a drink and

talk while the band plays. We don't have

many members that feel called to reach

out in those areas; however, there is a

small number still at it, trying their best

to get a grip on this group (so no giving

up there). The contacts within the pris

ons are still good as we regularly coop

erate with prison pastors for outreach to

this group of hard to reach people.

Going on outreach is the main thing

to do but apart from that we've tried to

run several events where we invite peo

ple we meet to come join us on ride outs.

This is mainly aimed at the touring bik

ers and with the ride outs they can earn

points, like a yearly competition, but this

wasn't so successful and now only one

event takes place in a year. In order to

create time to chat with the guests we

offer a scrumptious BBQ after the long

ride out and refreshments to quench the

    thirsts.

    What works really

    well is our monthly

    Church for Bikers

    gatherings of which

    we have two these

    days, in different

    parts of the county,

    and different Sunday

    evenings. Here we've

    seen a small number

of people get saved and baptized.

If one reaches out into the darkness

and makes an impact on those that are

property of the rulers of darkness, there

will be battles. Right now, we are facing

such battles in which we have had to say

goodbye to a number of members. We

  • ABHAG is a (Big HairyAudacious Goal). To fulfill thevision of changing the world, one heart at a time, the ministry ofCMA in the small country of Portugalhas set some big goals that willrequire the intervention of an evenbigger God for the coming year.

It is commonplace to hear people on

the streets, in restaurants and cafes, at

    soccer stadiums, in the workplace

    basically everywhere in Portugal,

speaking of the crippling financial crisis.

    Yes, Portugals economy collapsed in

2010 leading the government to solicit a

bailout from the EU. Yes, we are bank

rupt as a nation. Yes, we are all under

    paralyzing austerity measures and will

be until Jesus comes, it seems. But

whats the point of lingering on bad

news? It wont change a thing. It will

    only lead to more depression.

We are in the same boat as many

    other nations following the disastrous

recession that threatened the globe, also

known as the Lesser Depression, a

    marked global economic decline that

began in December 2007 and took a

    particularly sharp downward turn in

    September 2008.

    So let me share

    some good news

    about what God is

    doing to build up

    our nation despite

    the mismanage

    ment of many

    humans that

    almost tore it

    down. The good

    news emerges

from the most unlikely people in the

most unlikely places. Isnt that just like

our Lord? He continues to use the fool

ish things of this world to confound the

    wise (1 Corinthians 1:27).

    CMA Portugal saw amazing growth

and consolidation in 2012, the exact

year when the crisis reached its peak.

We now have four active chapters. The

    headquarters and founding chapter

operates out of the nations capital in

    the District of Lisbon. The

Faro chapter is based in the

    southern part of the country

in the district known as the

    Algarve. This is where for

    eigners come to enjoy great

    beaches and mild weather all

    year round. The Beja chapter

    is located between Lisbon

and Faro in the rural region

that is the countrys food bas

    ket called the Alentejo

    District. The Setbal chapter

is the most recent to be char

tered and is based south of

the mighty Tagus River in the

    Setbal District.

    In 2012 we also birthed

two nuclei. A nucleus is a

    budding group that does not

    have the dimensions or char

    acteristics required to form a

    chapter. We have been

blessed by the work of our members in

the Districts of Porto in the north and

    Santarm, located between Lisbon and

    Porto. Our

    groups, be they

    chapters or

    nuclei, are known

    by the capital city

    of each of

    Portugals 20

    Districts. Our

    BHAG (Big Hairy

    Audacious Goal)

    as a ministry is to

    open a chapter in

every one of Portugals 18 national dis

tricts! We also would like to see CMA

Portugal extend to Madeira and the

    Azores, two Portuguese autonomous

    island archipelagos in the North

    Atlantic Ocean considered the outer

most region of the European Union.

The primary goals for 2013 will be to

charter another two chapters and two

nuclei to reach at least 8 of the 18

Districts. We are also trusting God in

order to publish the 3rd edition of the

Biker Bible in Portuguese. This will

bring to 30,000 the total number of

Biker Bibles freely distributed in the

nation via CMA. We are in fundraising

mode trying to secure the needed

finances to print off the 10,000 copies of

this wonderful Bible that is our most

effective evangelism tool. There is noth

ing as rewarding as giving a biker the

Word of God in a format and language

    he/she can understand.

From a small group of four bikers the

CMA ministry in Portugal now has a uni

verse of 101 members, prospects and

respective families. We ask all in our

    international family around the world

to believe and pray with us for the

10,000 Bibles, that they will be paid for

and arrive in time for the massive rallies

of Faro and Gois in July and August this

    year. CMA

For many years, we have conducted

    motorcycle tours in Turkey (Taurus

Mountain range). This is not only a fun

event focused on off road up to 7,500

feet, but more importantly a time of

worship and prayer. We also deepen

    our relationships on these tours.

It is such a great joy to be on the

road for our Lord and personally expe

riencing His blessings every day. This

year we expect and believe for

    Hebrews 13:14.

Maddin Koch, Chapter PresidentNew Life in Jesus

2012 was very turbulent for our

chapter. During the months with ice

and snow there are no biker rallies in

Germany so we focused on visiting the

local biker groups and MCs. We

    expanded our contacts and deepened

    our relationships among the biker

    groups in Germany.

During the biker rally season, our

main event is the Edersee Meeting

(Lake Eder Biker Rally) near Kassel.

For over 10 years, we have been

attending this rally with our Bible tent.

There we get into talks and discussion

with visitors and people who are just

curious. Our talks are all about Jesus. It

is always striking for us how many

people are not able to get along in their

lives and how many are sincerely

searching for the meaning of life. Biker

rallies like these are spiritually chal

lenging and, quite honestly, we all

reach our personal limits. Our chapter

has been growing strongly. We are

quite active by organizing biker servic

es in local churches and giving testi

    monies of our evangelistic work.

Jesus keeps opening up more and

more new doors. Entering those doors,

    we encounter people already being

prepared and seemingly waiting for us,

gungho to ask us about Jesus.

    In springtime 2013, we appointed

four new members to our chapter and

we are truly grateful. It is simply amaz

ing to see how Jesus keeps preparing

people with hungry hearts to go out

into the world and preach the Gospel.

Michael Seibel, Chapter PresidentJesus has Risen

Our chapter is more or less focused

on visiting the local MCs. We can real

ly experience how God is moving

among the people. Our contacts to local

    MCs develop from initial skepticism,

to friendly acceptance and finally to

    open hearted sympathy and fellow

ship. We are being invited to events of

those MCs and open house evenings.

    We recognize an increasing acceptance

of those bikers to address us in person

are sick, mourning, and who are bur

    dened with personal problems. We

face regularly that the bikers are eager

searching for healing but at the same

time are unable to really leave their cir

We are on a long and wonderful

2012 ended with two invitations by

    blessed evenings there.

We are grateful for 2012 and look

We have a prayer request for our
